Same for me. ACC felt, before 1.9, less alive then AMS2. But after the 1.9 update of ACC they feels quite similar. Both drive great new with GT3 imo. I can switch between the two wtithout problems.

Yeah the 1.9 update brought new life to ACC, I had zero expectations for this update, ended getting quite surprised by it and that changed my opinion on how I used to rate ACC

the Maserati gt4 is now one of the most fun cars to drive there after 1.9

FFB is still pretty uninformative in general, but cars now behave more like cars on rubber tires and not anymore like Flinstones cars with tires made of rocks

Turning up the road effects help a bit but still it’s lacking some of the information that rf2 and ams 2 feedback gives

Tried racing the finished Nurb. at night, and have two points..

    1) the added details are amazing, and

    2) I have a number of forest fires to report

As this thread pretty much encapsulates the current state of affairs regarding AMS2, I am curious to know what others feel are absolutely the best cars in the sim right now. That is, if you were pitching AMS2 C1.4.6.1 to a newbie, what car and track combinations would you load up to show the sim at its best?

I’ll nominate the BMW M1 at the ‘71 ‘Ring

Feel this so much, have spent way too much time trying to 'understand' opinions about things on the internet. Most of the time they simply don't matter compared to our own feelings and thoughts, but the internet throws them at us and we can't help looking :D

Now I just think - I love AMS 2, and that's perfectly fine regardless of what anyone else thinks. Just enjoy

The M1 is in a really good place at the moment. It's gone from an understeery mess to a lively, nimble car that you can dance on the limit.

As for cars that I feel highlight AMS2, all Formula Classics Gens, F-USA 95 road course spec, Formula V10 Gen 1, McLaren MP4/1. This game just nails 1980-2000 open wheelers unlike any other sim I've tried.

Yeah, each wheel has a unique controller profile with all buttons mapped. Seems to forget them when I change the wheel. I'll look into it some more. Thanks

    good question..
to which I cannot answer you yet.too little time spent..in this Sim. actually I'm an Rfactor guy, formerly Gpl but since my priority is more and more vintage I came here. I also really enjoyed the Russel Alexis formula ford (Aserto corsa). especially the Fat Alfie and Sergio Loro tracks. at Ams 2 I now drive a lot of formula cars from the 60s.. but the virus has passed that I bought the Brazilian legends pack tonight and was again impressed by the Brabham BT 52.. group c I also think very nice, I hope that there will also be some cars like the Gt 1 ..

And I hope Ronnie Peterson's March 711 will be made for this sim one day or the 761

Group C and GT1 at Hockenheim 2001, really captures the Le Mans characteristics for me and the cars are a lot of fun.

Morbid curiosity gets the better of me sometimes as well :(
Here's my favourite nugget from the comments section:
"BMW GTE car can be steered with just throttle pedal around Nurburgring GT corners."

    Look mum, no hands!
