Last night the wheel was fine. After the update today the logitech G DD pro wheel has a clunk or notch effect in the center of the wheel.

    "Further adjustments to G-Wheel dampening"
I have no clue what that is referring to.

    EDIT...
Just want to add if we need to use new settings or defaults, some information would be nice.
Also, if this is the new intended feeling in game for the Logitech DD pro wheel. Would it be possible to put 1.4.7.1 into the steam build list?

I was never entirely happy with this wheel and how it acted with this game, with customs i have been able to get it to a very nice place and that took a lot of time and tinkering.

I love that you all keep adding and updating the physics and i look forward to much more of it, but please in the process try not to forget about some of the hard work that users also need to put into this sim to get it how they like it.

Hi reiza i have a GPro wheel and it feels broken
After the update. As dmand wrote above it feels like the first movement left/right is incredibly notchy ... i honestly thought something was wrong with my wheel which thankfully is ok after trying it in another sim.
The FFB was good before but not now.
    Regards

Same here, the klonk feels awful around the wheel center. I tried set damping to 0 but the klonk is still there. It was very smooth before.... I am not using trueforce as well.

    Waiting for the fix...

My racing group for AMS2 is pretty much falling apart because of stuff like this, thanks.

Fricken BS. Not even a reply

You have the option in Steam to go back to the "previous official release", but I don't know how far back this will take you. Probably 1.4.6.4.

Thanks, that is what i ended up doing. What bothers me so much is this G wheel dampening totally messed up the G wheel. Did they not even test this? Does Logitech recommend new defaults? How the HELL are we suposed to know what those new defaults are?

That is my problem with this studio. Totally mess something up and leave everyone in the dark about how to fix it. Friggen tired of it, my fanboyism for this sim is wearing out and i am ready to move on.

All it would take to solve this is a little bit of communication. If that can not even be established then my hope for a growing future and community for this game is dead

Hello all, these reports appeared on Saturday, two days ago.
While we often do work indefinitely, it is not the norm.
When issue is reported expect some time from us to report back.

First, we need some testing on our end.

To put some background; G-Wheel had clunk reported before (so pretty much for past few months it was there), which was lowered in latest patch. (at least that was the idea).

Now, some feedback, to the best of anyone's ability, describe how you get the clunk.
Ie, standstill, turning left right; driving at speed turning into a corner etc.

And last but not least, trueforce implementation is not ideal yet that i can assure you and is in active development.

Great thank you. Honestly i have never noticed the clunk on the logitech DD pro wheel before the deployment of 1.4.7.2.

It is most noticeable at stand still. The wheel being in center position, then moving it from left to right you feel the clunk, The issue persists while picking up speed, not as pronounced as stand still but still VERY noticeable.

So at standstill, turning the wheel just 20 degrees in either direction will give you the clunk returning back to center. While driving, same thing just not as pronounced because of other effects. G pro wheel is in G923 mode when playing AMS2, Ghub and wheel firmware are all updated. I have tried the recommended settings on the Logi website. You can find those here... In-Game Settings for Pro Wheels – Logitech Support + Download

That clunk was felt no matter what i changed, custom, default, default +. That clunk seemed to persist across all the ffb choices with little difference in the intensity of that clunk.

If there is any particular scenario you need tested, car combo, different wheel settings, a inside build you need someone to test on the Logi DD pro wheel or anything at all that will help you sort out the issues with Logitech please let me know. I truly love this sim.

That truefurce statement you made makes me super happy. I am also sorry for my bad mood, things were going so great, our ams2 racing community was picking up speed and things just unraveled so quickly.

I had a clunk before but 0 dampening fixed it. Now with the new update there is clunk feeling even with 0-dampening.
It is most obvios in slow speed in the center of the steering axel. It is very noticable clunk when steering axel goes over the central point. Tried default, default + and custom but no help. Trueforce doesn't change the feeling.

i never noticed any clunk before.
the mini jcw is a good example of car that
    highlights the problem.

For me, I don't get the clunk from standstill but it is noticeable when the car is moving left and right. I tried all sort of settings in-game (FX 0, LFB 0, Damping 0 or 100, 900 or 1080 steering lock) but it is always there. Trueforce is turned off as well.

1.4.7.1 was fine. 1.4.7.2 is what busted the wheel.

I would also like to add this was in a GT1 car
