Not saying is not a valid complaint, just think it woulda been better to focus on the big problems before it

Why not focus on ALL big problems ? UI included, it is an absolute mess and many people are fine with it only because they are USED to it for ages now since it has always been like this. And always been awful. Too many sub-menus burried unnecessarily.

 

I wouldn't say awful. I'm not saying it's a top tier UI, but by no means awful. It's quite basic and crude, but most of the things are where they should be. Design-wise it's basic, but given the basic nature of historic content in-game it actually fits quite well

For example it's miles better than AC's UI which everyone forgot about after switching to CM. So if AC's is awful then AMS2's is miles ahead thus cannot be placed on the same tier as AC

Everytime I do I think why did j waste my money amd my subscription sits idle till it runs out being used 3 times in the first 2 days it's hype, all hype, nothing there for me that I can't find elsewhere.

 

The default UI in AC is a crime. But AMS2 being less terrible, is still terrible.

 

Objectively, what is wrong with selecting single race, having all you major choices highlighted on screen. The menus are responsive. You change what you want and press start. There are no tedious fancy animations/sequences that get old very quickly. You can go on track from the main menu in 3 clicks.

Objectively, how is this terrible?

What is a good UI in your mind then?

 

One thing I'd do is add "Authenticity" menu to Single player menu screen. I'd still keep it under the options as well. But I often find myself changing these values and navigating back to options and then again to single player is cumbersome.

 

AC: start button is only steering wheel icon in circuit. me and my friend couldn't start car for 30 mins at first time.

ACC: Performance is different depending on the type of engine map and brake pad, but there is no explanation.

It feels like an Italian-style Easter egg...

Because of outside of a few broken things that need addressing it's a waste of a developers time to "modernise" it...

They really need to fix the hit boxes so they work first time every time and give us bigger scroll bars as well as allow the mouse to scroll properly...

But a redesign of the UI would probably cause even more of these annoying little issues...

 

The only issues I have with the UI are:

1. That weird button focus glitch in replays
2. The fact that engine & mechanical damage are not in the race options, but rather the gameplay options.

 

Going from server list to lobby and back does not actually get me back (server list) but to main menu. So anoying. At least this might get fixed. Please.

 

Sterile and things are unnecessarily burried in sub-menues. I will make my idea of a "Quick race" menu through photoshop and post it here once it is done .
