Hey jtortosen! Thank you for your settings. Of course I also know defaults and defaults+ with the Simucube. Yes, with the Simucube, defaults are also more comfortable to drive. But of course there's a reason why I'm still with the Customs, because it suits my personal taste better. Many people drive with defaults and are satisfied, that's good. In the end it should be fun and everyone should take what they like. By the way, there is also a thread for defaults, share your experiences with the people. The more information the better for people

You are a fantastic piece of human being. So glad you are here with us.
I am pretty sure i noticed that and even mentioned that once before about how your 5-8nm file seems to work better then the high end file. Don't remember when it was or where i even said it. It must have been within this last month or two since i got the new wheel.

Hi friends. I´ve got a Thrustmaster TS-PC. I've been testing "FFB File from Daniel V70 to 8NM" and it gives a great control of the car in almost all circunstances.

Only problem is, when the car is understeering, I just feel a strange sensation: the steering wheel becomes harder and harder. Instead of "softening" once the grip limit is exceeded, it becomes hard as a stone. Is it normal or intended? Am I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for your work

Hello! It's a little intentional on my part. Because it gives me more control over the car in a simulation. I don't have the true G-forces to compensate. The second point is the simulation itself. There are big differences in simulating the light wheel with loss of grip. Good example of the Porsche 911 Gt3 and the Porsche GTE. Porsche GTE will simulate it much better than the Porsche 911 GT3. It can also be corrected a little in the custom file, but that will only come with V80

Unfortunately this is one of the problems when you prioritize the feeling of grip to the extent these files do. I have tried a many different versions of the the v** series and other ffb files and most seem to put so much premium on grip, they fail to replicate the natural feeling of the tyres loosing grip and the steering getting lighter as they do. I have spent hours modding these files to try to make them feel somewhere in between the high grip state and the way the standard default + setting feels. I use a T300 and have my Force set to 75 in game, Effects set to 50 and Low Force Boost at 40. All the rest are zeroed. Try this file out and see if you like it.

@Danielkart do you think the V70 FFB works well with the V1.5 physics cars?

Hello! Yes, the V70 still works, but it's out of date with the new update. Physics has changed a lot, good changes but also bad changes. But I am convinced that there will still be changes in the physics until the final 1.5

Do you recommend using the V70 or using default whilst waiting for V80?

Everyone has to decide that for themselves. There is no "best" file, everyone has different ideas and preferences. Decide according to your feelings:)

I would also highly recommend trying out NuScorpii's heavy messing smooth with the new updated cars. It feels really good to me.

Good morning / afternoon / evening all.
I was wondering if it is possible to use the fresh generated blank custom file and just add these lines.
Can i just throw those in there? The numbers you see are just a example.

    # Road features settings
    #

    (texture_scale 1.0)
    (micro_bumps_scale 0.275)
    (micro_bumps_smooth 0.008)
    (kerbs_surface_scale 5.5)
    (kerbs_surface_smooth 0.03)
(kerb_bump_scale 2.5) #How big the tall curb bumps are.
(large_track_bump_scale 0.1) #how much bumps on the track are felt.
(large_offroad_bump_scale 0.1) #how much bumps off the track are felt.

    ###########################################################
    #
    # Effect scales - Change here to make an effect more or less pronounced.
    #

    (engine_scale_at_still 0.6)
    (engine_scale_at_speed 0.0)
    (scrub_scale 2.4)
    (tear_scale 0.28)
    (tear_hard 0.1)
    (scrub_frq_scale 0.86)
    (tear_frq_scale 1.7)1.6
(flatspots_scale 0.7) #how much you feel the flat spotting. At default 1.0 flatspots are nicely felt in a formula V10.
    (suspension_scale 0.6) #how much the suspension is felt. Range 0.4 - 1.0
    (rear_bump_scale 0.1)
    (rear_bump_hard 0.9)

Double post sorry, but the recent changes that have been made to the default ffb in the new physics update has brought out a lot of detail in the logi dd pro wheel. Some things are still a bit wonky and i would prefer to use a custom. Hence my above question.

the above would have no affect apart from maybe breaking the ffb, as it has no connection to anything in the code.
It’s like measurements of a recipe without any ingredients included.

Hello DMand! Unfortunately, this isn't as easy as you might think. Yes, I noticed that it now seems to support Trueforce (better supported or fully I don't know). Wait for the official 1.5 then you will see if it still needs customs or not. For me (current status) it still needs customs

Hello Champrt! V70 is currently the newest. The 1.5 update from Reiza will change a lot in the FFB as well. As I have already mentioned in another thread, I will wait for the definitive update 1.5. A lot has gotten much better with this physics, but there are things that I have to change a lot in the FFB to adapt it to this very good physics. The in-game and base values will also change due to this new physics. I'll be sure to post it to you when I feel like the V70 doesn't fit the new physics anymore
