...and let's not forget, that thing didn't flip once, it flipped incredible 3 times that weekend! Three!

I think Ettore is correct that speeds are slightly higher just before the braking point into the now called Daytona chicane. Pilet even gets some toe after Mulsanne corner and can't quite match the almost 300kph from earlier.

Now with the redesigned Tertre Rouge possibly, but not back in 1998. There is a broadcast of the race on Youtube, the commentators and some drivers mentioned several times how the fastest point of the track was before Indianapolis.
EDIT: Right here for example from 1999

    and here:

True, Tertre Rouge was reprofiled in 2007 IIRC.

I think I've found a bug. Finter at velocitta 30 lap race, I'm on lap 16 and tires have not worn at all. Hud and Telemetry are showing full tires. Feeling wise, they feel the same as lap 1 as far as I can tell.

F-Inter tires are a pretty hard compound that doesn't tend to wear out quickly at all but it will be looked at, wear as a whole is still subject to further refinements on the route to 1.5.

Yep, it seems to be the case. They show a tad of wear after lap 18. Thanks.

Will wear be looked at on a car-to-car basis or for a class as a whole?
Some cars in a class have different tire manufacturers with very different wear and grip behaviours that could be reflected.

The one that took off at Petit Le Mans was this one.

Yeah, I'm referring to modern day LM. Wasn't aware that you were talking about the '98 layout.

It absolutely was not that car, but the car we have in game. This is very easy to Google:

That said, I would love to have the car you pictured in game. It ran as customer cars when the newer version was introduced. Same with the 1998 and earlier Merc.

    None that is publicly available.

If I was Reiza (and I am not). I'd take the version 1.5 physics release as a "must succeed perfectly" event. The physics is much better than before and if this is reflected objectively in social media, there is strong potential for increased player numbers. Therefore, I'd rather have it come out later and more perfect, than sooner and less perfect. But that's just my opinion. There can be many other factors that decide when is the most optimal time to release.

Yeah, the 1997 cars, possibly in a seperate class would be really nice and help with the completely outclassed McLaren vs the '98 cars a bit as well.

True, you're correct. That's the '96 model, Dalmas drove that too. Yeah, would be awesome to have that model in AMS2.
