Your in game gain is wayyy too high so you're no doubt clipping like mad and getting little to no information I would imagine. Start at 40 or so and work your way up.

But at gain = 40 or even 70 I feel very low FFB. On AMS2 FFB=90 (and in Wheel =100) I feel good but not strong FFB, feels like 2-3 nm force. As Comparison: I came from ACC, there I had FFB that was even stronger than now on 90 and there was no clipping at all.
Strange too is, that the default+ FFB profile is MUCH MUCH stronger than this custom file. default+ on gain =50 feels 3 times so strong than gain =90 in custom file. Is this normal or is something completely wrong perhaps?

    2nd question:
Do these custom FFB-files, including v80, have more details or informations that are in default(+) profile completely missing, or is it all only a question about optimising the balance between all the values?

They change certain values and add or remove some things (sort of)

Default+ should give more info than default so the FFB might be stronger, but I’ve never heard of that before

We need to know which custom file you are using, ( should start with the original 5.0.1.3 from page one as a base )

have you installed it into your my documents ams2 folder ?
Have you selected custom ffb profile in game ? And what are your settings ?

Hi guys! Since the new update i started to play again and the game feels different (in a very nice way) but i´m strugguling to make a good configuration with the FFB and i don´t really know where to start. I know that maybe this thread is for a bit more advanced tweaking in FFB but i could you use a little bit of help. I have a T300RS and now im with a 95 (gain)/13(lffb)/85(FX)/0(damp) config with the default FFB file, no custom. Thanks again guys! :)

From the information you gave it seems like your gain and fx are a bit too high.

I'm not sure the FX are too high. I'm running 90% FX (Default+) with good results although, I also have in-game Damping at 55%. I believe the high Gain setting could be an issue with clipping (in some cases), though.

The damping setting in-game is connected to the damping setting in the thrustmaster panel control?

The T300 was my old wheel. If i remember correctly, that wheel has a lot of natural friction because of the belt drive. I'm pretty sure i turned damper to 0 in the TM control panel on windows. LFB also had to be high i think

It either has the same amount of detail, a bit less detail, or a bit more detail. Totally depends on the tune. If you download a file and open it up, you will see it all the different options you can mess with by just changing a number.

If you decide to do it, don't go crazy, try different files, see what feels the closest to optimal for you and then open the file to get it to where you want it. Not enough road texture feeling? Change the value in the file. Not enough road bump feeling? Change the value in the file....etc

Hi guys. In short - i must confess i was a long time away from AMS2 and addicted in another sim.
Cerainly i decided to give AMS2 a next go, and i didn´t regret that. It was my most played game last weeks and that a big compliment to the game. Congrats how the game improved over the last year.

Now to my issue - I was digging about the 329 sites now to find the right answer how i should setup my wheel for the v1.5. correctly. I found some guys with the same wheel discussion here, but somehow without result? Can it be or did i just missed that? sorry.

So i drive the old good T300 right now with the following settings:

    gain 75 (+ - car depending)
    LFB 20
    FX 50
    Damping 20

    TM
    75
    100
    0 (spring)
    0 (damping)

As it is i find the FFB really good. I have no complaines. But i read superior things about the ffb here and there, so i think ok - maybe my FFB could feel even much better with the right/better settings....
So are there a "definitve" tips to setup the T300 or is it just to much an thing of personal preference?

I think especially about the LFB and Damping ingame settings.

    Appriciate any comments. Thank you
