They don't. Look at Spa. This track is nowhere near the real deal.

They have been beginning to use Lidar since the previous few games. The tracks they actually have made with Lidar and photogrammatery are really really nice.

I wonder if there will ever be more updates to how livetrack works. Having dirt and gravel moved onto the track is cool, could anything else be possibly added ?

I think they're waiting for the implementation of red flags before adding this stuff to LiveTrack.

Have a 0.001% chance of a shoe being thrown on track at Montreal

I found that with Raceroom when they released it. Bought it to try and was pretty impressed by the track layout itself. One thing that makes me grumpy about ACC is not having my favourite layout of the first corner.

Also, whilst it's awful for spectating, it does look pretty unique when you're actually driving on it.

Not the same thing but I remember environment damage being present in nfs shift 2 (cracks and tyre marks on the walls and holes on gravel and grass when a car flips there)

Think it is totally deserving of a hard time, as I've said before, it looks like the site of a smurf genocide.

The track is 'okay' but nothing special... The disgusting, migraine inducing, frog vomit they decided to put around the entire track, however, is the deal breaker.

That track needs to come with a switch off paint setting and the juice just isn't worth the squeeze. I'd take Mugello, Hungaroring, Albert Park, China, Singapore, Bahrain, Sepang or even Baku, any day over Paul Ricard.

I think I read some time ago that at least oil and coolant from car failures could be simulated to the track. Still a while I believe till it gets to the sim.

Would it be welcome or unwelcome to make use of that Straight4 partnership in order to bring back pCARS 2's race engineer setup system to help guide adjustments without being shown all options in Advanced setup screens? I think it could be a way to encourage folks to partake in the game and iirc, that system worked both offline and online.

(I'll throw this on Reddit as well just to cast a net for interest)

From the RD interview: "If you are a fan of the late 80s and late 90s, you already have Group C and GT1, so these years are already covered."

Does that mean no additions to these classes planned in the forseeable future?
I'd be a bit disappointed if so :(

Don't loose hope! Remember that within the same interview he mentions making modding support easier. So hopefully those gaps in the roster can be filled by mods while Reiza focuses on the lack of content from the 70s and 00s when it comes to endurance racing. Makes me very excited.

Magny Cours is a pick id prefer when it comes to modern GP French circuits

The blue stuff on the run offs are just horrible in Paul Ricard
