Here's my modded V80 file for the csw2.5. I wasn't sure whether to post it or not but as you may know I always fiddle with these for my wheel, and i'm sure Daniel wouldn't mind.
I've removed the power steering value completely and tuned it to give more force on cornering to simulate G forces and added some flatspotting. Works well on all the 1.5 cars I tried and I get more feeling on slow corner exits.
    Gain 50
    Lfb 0
    Fx 35
    Damp 0

Exactly what I was thinking of changing. I'll give this a try.
    Thank you. :)

Could be my imagination but the power steering setting made slow steering slightly vague, removing it seems to have sharpened it up making it more connected to the track.

This is really good on my Logitech DD wheel. Thanks for posting.

I raised rack force to .70, but not 100% sold on that.

In game: Gain 85, LFB 0, FX 30, Damp 0

Wheelbase: 11nm, Filter 11, Damp 5-25 (my initial impression is that this will need adjustment per car)

Looking forward to trying it. I'd used Heavy Messing file when it first came out about 3 years ago and it was ok at the time but as multiple other FFB files superseded it, and the game moved on, I didn't think I'd be using it again.

But I gave it another go recently and was amazed at how well it works with 1.5 physics on my Logitech G29. I just love the feel of it now. The only vehicles is doesn't work with for me are the trucks, where it's got a very strong pull to one side, then the other, like a slow pendulum effect.

Thanks for sharing. It's nice but for my taste too light in the center when turning. You can turn the wheel with one finger. Could you make a version between? with 50% back in? that could be pretty good.

Here is my V2 file for Logitech dd 11nm.
Might work good for other bases, i just don't know.
Base settings and in game settings are shown in the file.
Works great on dirt as well. Feels good to me anyways, and of course i am open to suggestions and criticism.

Is there any dirt/rx specific settings to adjust in the ffb file? I'm using Danielkart's V80 and it's great stuff, however with the new offroad cars my wheel almost threw me outside the window even on 50% vehicle ffb

As promised a few days ago I would post my custom FFB file made to work with the new 1.5 update.

I've called it Medium Messing, the Midrange special as I've based it on the Heavy Messing V2.5 by Nuscorpii, and took my time to rework the values to optimize specifically for 8Nm (or so) DD wheel bases, and bring out as much low and midrange information as possible, translating in more subtle tire information and a very connected road feel. All while preserving as much dynamic range as possible for lower powered DD wheel bases.

I've made a longer explainer post HERE, to read more about how this file came to be and some recommendations on experimenting with different values. I made it during the beta test period leading up to 1.5. Feel free to try it regardless if you have a 8Nm DD, but I have no idea if it even remotely feels good on your setup.

Final note, the .txt, in game and base settings all go hand in hand, so please try it accordingly. Thank you.

    In game and base settings
    Gain - 85
    LFB - 1
    FX - 50
    Damping - 25

    SEN - Auto
    FFB - 100
    FFS - Linear
[please try this for a while, even if you always used Peak like I did!]
    NDP - Off
    NFR - Off
    NIN - 12
    INT - 1
    FEI - 100

    Disclaimer

This is all based on personal preference. If it's not for you that is totally fine. If you like it, great!

Slightly but important changes to my FFB settings.
Now using @Danielkart v80 - 5Nm (as it was intended by the author) and given much more precise responses and gone are the vague center.

    Ingame:
Gain above 90 stresses my wheel too much and also a lot of clipping. I suggest the window 65 to 85. My set is 75 (strong as I like it).
LFB and FX window 0 to 10. My set is 1 for both.
Damping 0 as in previous version.

    Very important:
Assure your TM driver is up-to-date and strictly set to Default as advices FFB Guru @Karsten Hvidberg

Have a little work in progress tune going if anyone wants to try it .
haven’t settled on it yet , changes aren’t major .
the tires have so much more flex feel from game now i’ve turned stretch feel down and am experimenting with the balance of it .
