Automobilista 2 Paddock Club - What it is and How to become a Member

Hello, I am thinking about buying the Paddock Pass, but I have a couple questions before making the decision.

1. Am I (Legally or by the Paddock Club's Rules) required to participate in the Paddock Club forums?
2. Should I buy it if I have ZERO intentions to test the beta? I simply just want to support Reiza and get future content without having to go to the Steam Store and make another purchase. I also do not have AMS1 yet.
I did read the following:

I am not looking for a good deal nor am I looking to play beta builds early. Basically, I just want the convenience of another Season Pass.
Edit. I noticed that I cannot buy the Paddock Pass without signing up for PayPal. Some sites allow you to buy items through PayPal as a guest.

 

Sorry mate, that doesn't answer my question.

 

1. Nobody can force you to participate in the forums, say as much or as little as you want.
2. Similarly, nobody can force you to install beta, it's up to you.

Edit: I have yet to install beta but would like to try and help out by beta testing. I'm no racing expert but I might be able to add something.

Short answers: no one will push you to test. Yes you can skip installing the Beta, up to you

 

This implies that you already had Beta access before due to 1) having backed the Simracing Bonanza funding campaign on Level 5 or higher (iirc), or 2) joined the AMS2 funding campaign when that was available. If that was the case you have automatically been upgraded to Paddock Club Membership. Either way, you should have access to the Beta on Steam. If you are unsure, search for "Automobilista" in your Steam library. The Automobilista 2 Beta should show up as its own entry separate from the main release branch.

 

As previously stated, participating in the paddock club is not mandatory.
However, it would be advantageous to stay informed by reading and keeping up with the paddock forum.
By doing so, you can be aware of any new changes in updates.
For instance, my friend received the beta version for convenience but doesn’t use the forum, so they constantly have to ask what's new in the latest updates.
If you encounter any unusual occurrences, being familiar with the forum will help you determine if it’s a work-in-progress issue or not.

Yeah... Looks like the window is closed for good. Couldn't buy it because the API that Reiza used for PayPal did not allow them to enable Guest Purchases (Purchase via PayPal without an account).

 

Have you heard this confirmed anywhere? I haven't seen any official word yet?

 

Not sure why purchase link has closed when "limited time" was never defined it's only been a little over a month. I understand I was told it wouldn't be around forever but why would we be permanently barred from membership for not buying it this quickly you guys are seriously the best dev team I know what gives?

Which is strange as we never saw the dev update part2.....

It would have been better if a exact date was communicated, like until the 31st of July, knowing Reiza, we would then still have it available until the end of August.....
