RX AI also needs improvement on regular asphalt tracks as it is way too slow currently.

Key word in Crimson response is Dirt/RX.
I believe bobbie42 was referring to asphalt, as in non dirt tracks.

how does the DRS actually work in the F-USA23? Do you have to hold down the DRS button or just activate it once?

Ok, and how does this one work , press once to quickly overtake briefly or do you have to stay on the button. can you also just press the button on the straight to get closer?

it seems that the quantity of dirt on the track and in replay is not the same (any tracks) 20230807005023_1.jpg 20230807005007_1.jpg

Live Track does weird things in replays. For RX races or anything short, it'll keep evolving the surface over constant replays. Probably the reason why replay skipping is such an issue.

And some late '50s/early '60s roadsters; MGs, Triumphs, Maseratis, Lancias or a few generic ones inspired by such cars. Could be a charming and fun little class: Vintage Roadsters.

If this is correct and replays does not recreate the exact surface of the recorded lap then all arguments for the missing skipping features in the replay does disappear.
Because then its not because of some Live Track limitation but because the Madness replay system just sucks

It is true, the live track is remade from scratch when you go into the replay . Try a full rain race that would be even just 10 minutes long and in the replay you will see puddles form in completely different areas.

Yeah I believe that is the intention behind Live Track.
But if it doesnt work like it was intended - then...
That was the reason behing my conditional sentence (if... then...).

I wish they could figure out a way for the livetrack ‘state’ to be saved for every moment so replays skipping and mid-race saves become possible

Well in the RD interview Renato said mid race save is doable, obviously difficult, but doable. I believe that's the first time I have seen any of the developers saying that it's possible.

That got kinda under the radar on that interview, but it's definitely a must for the endurance features.

The word “endurance” leads me to a question: how do you use the racing presets where you can for example select “Formula USA” and then the program automatically sets the original rules and settings for this racing series? But those original settings are much too long for me (200 laps!!! Or in F1: practice session 1 hour!!…..). Is there a setting which overrules all those presets concerning the lengths (for example only 25% everywhere)) or do you really race as long as in real life? Other option would be to adapt all presets manually but then the advantage and comfort of all those existing presets is gone… I would like to have ONE setting for the durance/length for all race types but different default presets concerning the rest (standing start vs rolling, joker lap rules….). How do you use those presets?

I just use the preset and adjust the race / practice / qualy time as I want. The preset gets you the rules, cars, and starting point then just adjust down.

Yes really, this is crazy. I have not been able to play for about a week now. The workarounds don't work.
I've been trying to be patient but i'm about fed up with having all these wheel problems in a racing game.
I was going to blame Logitech, but the wheel works fine in other games so it must be something on Reizas end.

Honestly these type of bugs have been around for such a long time and i'm about ready to move on to something else. That is unfortunate because AMS2 really kicks ass in so many areas but long standing issues like this that don't get enough attention is really getting old.
