Ik its not a satisfying answer, but he’s busy. Physics and ai improvements are coming and i dont think he will make a dev update until the update is done.

If you experience lag during a game suddenly, even though it worked fine for minutes, check TASK MANAGER to see if NVIDIA CONTAINER is running? For me, this is what causes the lag from about lap 2 or 3. If this is your problem too, can someone tell me how to prevent the NVIDIA container.exe file from booting on its own while playing? Thank you

M8 just go to the beta forum that you have access to as a paddock member

they’re working hard with several tweaks on several cars + damage model improvements on some cars + the safety car variants for different classes

Substantial developments are in the making, things just have taken a lot of occupation for the whole team currently why appearance is relatively sparse.

Sorry folks, but i can't give you any ETAs except that it shouldn't take too long anymore before the radio silence will be over but be aware that it's indeed due to workload right now that there wasn't much of a word in the recent days.

Thank you guys for all you do! The game is already wonderful, amazing, honestly, and I hope you guys don't feel like you owe us anything more. Take your time to make the best game/racing simulation you can!

Well I finally discovered what was causing my game to freeze for 5 seconds at a time EVERY 10 minutes during a session. When I disconnect from my wifi, I no longer experience the freeze. Now since this freeze happens every ten minutes from the start of a racing session, I can only assume AMS2 is initiating some kind of internet contact every ten minutes during my races. Maybe updating laptime records ? Curious as to what it might be. Fascinating enough, Project Cars 2 has this exact same behavior which is also solved by disconnecting from my wifi.

Anyway for anyone else experiencing this odd problem, this is a workaround.

Sounds a bit strange this was/is the problem. Because I would guess that if you did follow MickTs suggestion many posts back then any hidden netactivity from/to the game would have been revealed

Yep. I didn't run the wireshark trace MikeT did, but I followed his suggestion about unplugging USB and such. I did run the ProcessMonitor but didn't notice anything in the logfile. There's got to be some kind of internet call AMS2 is doing but it remains a mystery. Hopefully the Dev can offer any input on what it could be. Whatever it is, it's happening on all of our systems, except with me and a few other people whom I've seen lodge the same complaints over the year, it's causing a problem.

Be aware Im absolutely not accusing you for anything :D but Im just pussled that if there actually is a call every 10 minutes then it should show up by a useable process monitor.
    But anyway.
Could it be AMS2 or Steam mandatory checking if the PC is still connected or has been going offline?

Thinking about it then there is a possibility to get Task Manager (via another prog) to make a log of among other things the net activity.

I don't think it's steam because would affect my other racing/flight sims? I put steam in offline mode and it AMS2/PC2 still froze. I think your suggestion with having a more robust log of task manager might sniff out what the two programs are doing at that minute mark.

That's great that you got (close) to the bottom of it. As per my quoted post, I did do a wireshark test, but didn't spot anything. However, it's entirely possible I missed it, or maybe because I wasn't actively driving around, it didn't happen (I think I just left the car running in the pits or on track). As I said before, the 5 seconds it freezes for aligns with the default timeout for a DNS query. Do you have anything custom set up in that regard, or do you just use what your ISP set (or told you to set) on the router?

Maybe try cloudflare and see if that helps.

Did you have UDP enabled? If so that might possibly be the cause. In my (and others) case, having UDP enabled completely killed Wi-Fi for anyone connecting to the same router my PC is connected to, even though it’s connected via Ethernet cable….

I would like to ask what is the difference between stock car 2019 and 20-23. I can naturally drive SC 2019. But I am not accustomed to SC20-23. If the steering angle is small, it is impossible to turn, and if the steering angle is slightly larger, it is easy to oversteer. At the same time, the steering force will also become particularly small.
Is it because the ride height has increased and other parts have softened? What kind of driving style should I use to drive the 20-23 well?

Hello friend, the stock car underwent a redesign in its cars from 2019 to 2020 and was even called New generation.

which also underwent a redesign of the brand itself.

The car has less downforce and uses a range of car parts from both manufacturers. But the engine and chassis are the same. The way the aerodynamics responds has changed.

Yes, the 2019 is better to drive, being up to 4s faster than the 2020 model. But don't be happy, Vicar, owner of the Stock Car Pro Series in 2025, will change everything, engine, chassis, suspension, wing, DRS. Starting with the concept that Porsche Cup uses throughout the world in the category for renting cars.

There are strong rumors even from drivers that the cars will be SUVs. Let's wait.

    Just need to call.

    Thank you very much.
I am mainly wondering how to drive it happily. It doesn't matter to me to be slower. It drives like I am using a weak feedback steering wheel, and I am unable to perceive the details of the turning process and accurately control it. (May the optimization of my moza steering wheel drive also affect some?)
Every time I want to start a championship with 20-23, and then after driving for 5 minutes, I delete it and create a new 2019 one.:D
