HI Kivi. I see exactly your point and i think there are multiples ways to arrive to a strong and fast response with ffbcustom and the base and the game. I noticed directly when i recieved the T818 that it missed a certain "granularity" feeling of the track (what's going on under my tyres) and i found that this feeling can be increase by increase the main road value and the texture part. But, doing that, the steering wheel is so hard that you can't turn. After tests, i found that increase those value but decrease the main gain and the specific gain into the car is good balance. And now i can feel the track under my tyres much better than 1 month ago when i received the T818. I am not an engineer, and i have driven almost 2 years with one of a ffbcustom without any modifications, but when i spend money to something 'better' that the TS PC, i want it for my money :) :) I think i have done the most of the job but i continue to notice details and improve my file (i will upload little few modifications today). There are so many possibilities to configure AMS2 with this file that this is almost endless... The best approche would be that Reiza give us the bible of this file, yes !!

Madness engine didn't make it easy for us, it could have the option to show a FFB bar or the existing bar/histogram (independently) outside that (horrible) tyre HUD that fill the whole screen (why?!?!?!? Reiza "fix" this, please).

But it's essential to look at the histogram to know what the game is outputing. I guess most people don't do that and a lot is lost. How to expect something from a wheel base if we don't even know what the game is doing?
Rfactor 2 has the same problem, we have to use SimHUB or other outside tool to see FFB signal to control clipping and many people don't know they are clipping the signal but they don't care because "I have a DD wheel base so clipping is not a problem to me".
Most rF2's car need adjustment that varies from 40%-70% car specific FFB, at 100% all cars clip the signal badly! A strong wheelbase only makes this worst.

This things destroy user's experience and don't pop up often enough, it should be in game's tip.

There is an option to hide the tyre HUD so just the FFB info is visible. Look at key bindings and you'll see it. I think it is called 'Cycle Telemetry HUD Mode' or something like that.

Motec is good for rf2 fab check since you can look at whole lap afterwards.

    I knew that!!!!

    :)
    Thanks. Big help!
I don't know the real cost of making comments/tips in these games... so much is hidden in plain sight, so much could have a better explanation in-game. And AMS2 has a simple interface, others make their games encrypted on purpose... ;)

    Hi guys!
I'm currently working on the middle and the center feel.I'm also busy damping the base and damping in the game.I made fantastic new discoveries and the result turned out to be brilliant.I will therefore not withhold it from you and will post it later today.I will also give you more information about itSee you at the V300.Greetings from Daniel

    Hi guys!

As I said, I focused on the middle and center with the V300.There are also new features for damping at the base and damping in the game. This V300 needs no more or very little damping, neither in the game nor in the base.In the game 0 damping and in the base between 0-5% damping. The custom file takes care of the rest for you.

Thanks to a new sorting in the file, it is now much better to drive with little or 0 damping. These changes also made the cars extremely stable.I would like to point out that this damping reduction only applies to this V300. For my old customs, or customs from other modders or Reiza's defaults, damping is still used and recommended.

As usual, the first 3 files are for different performance ranges of the bases in order to cover as many as possible. As usual, the flat spot is set to 0.This can be changed in the file according to personal preference under (Flatspot_scale 0).My recommended range is approximately 0 - 0.05

The 4 file is the rally file for all bases and all performance ranges. This means for Formula Dirt Cars / Cart Kross Cars / RX Cars / Trucks and for all Go-Karts. Be careful to change the IN-Game values of these cars. These values are specified at the beginning of the file.

As always, I wish you quick rounds and lots of fun with the files

Addendum: The customs are all based on the V70 and V70 Plus files

Interesting to see what this 0 damping file is like.. ..so far have found your files suit my preferences the best (especially now you are using same wheel base as me)

Yes, it's a fantastic base :)I run this file with 0 damping in game and 0 damping in the base. And then is this custom file unfold full potential . Of course, this may look a little different with other bases

It's nice that it's also suitable for your base. The less power a base has, the more difficult it is to write a file.Clipping can occur very quickly at low Nm.At higher forces it is not a problem but there are other things to consider. This V300 is designed to work best without any damping, perhaps just a little on the base.Avoid damping in the game (if you use defaults) because it is currently working incorrectly. If you need damping it is better to adjust this at the base

I've tried ingame damping at the range 0-10 only to go back to 0.
And yes, I think it could be even better with a little damping.
I`ll try at base as you advice.

You can use the in-game cushioning without any problems. I only advise against it with the defaults because it doesn't work properly there. But with the V300 or other customs you can easily increase it if you want more cushioning. But it will give you more sluggishness and stickiness, and it will also take away FFB feedback;)

@Danielkart you've knocked this out of the park for my wheel.
Tried it in the Porsche 911 GT1 at Suzuka and it feels superb, the only thing I changed was lowering the oversteer scale down to 1.85 same as the understeer as it was too snappy especially in the wet.
    Awesome my friend.
No clipping, but if anyone has that problem then reducing understeer scale will help.

Hey buddy! Yes, I think it's the best and most immersive custom I've ever written. You're right about the oversteer in the rain. I like it snappy and in the rain I change my braking curves on the pedals. For me it is the easier option to ride in the rain. But of course you could also write a file just for rain, we as modders have this option :) Have a nice evening my friend

Gave it a go today, using your change to Danielkart's file. Have to say, gold.

Settings I'm using on my CSW 2.5 (8Nm)
    FFB 100
FEI 50 (60 gave me some notchiness)
DRF 0 (still not sure if I prefer -1)

In game settings (most will want more gain than I use. trying to keep my ribs in my chest)
    FFB 55
    LFB 0
    FX 25
    Damping 0

    Great work. Thank you.

As I said, these customs are written for 0% damping. The less damping you use, the better the file will be. I've now driven almost all of the cars (only original Reiza cars and routes) and I'm thrilled. What I feel in my wheel is fantastic and was only possible thanks to this 0% damping strategy. The rest is a matter of taste and can be adjusted by everyone according to their personal taste

Hey buddy!I tested your veining with the same values for oversteer and understeer.Unfortunately, the forces have shifted a lot as a result, and there are very hard and high forces. With FWD cars it's even worse. This also makes the braking feel worse for my taste.Maybe it's less noticeable for your strength, that could be the case.In any case, I stick with different values for understeering and oversteering.Nevertheless, thank you for your suggestion.I hope you will create a custom again specifically for your base. Alegunner's customs are always fantastic customs :)

Not sure how the forces have increased for you as the oversteer scale has been reduced. Very odd.
