Good evening! There's more to the V400 than just a few small changes. Yes, there are changes, but they change the customs significantly and create a completely different feeling. The additional customs for narrower Nm ranges also help with these improvements. I tried to eliminate the damping, the friction, the lfb, the inertia from the in-game settings and the base settings. The rest can be changed according to personal taste. And of course every user feels it differently, whether it's V300, V400 or another custom from another modder, in the end it's all personal taste;)

    For sure.
Those file are already complex, then there is the diversity of hardware, and people of different sensibility, I can grasp the esoteric side of it.
That being said your V100's really stands out, and some of the modifications your made are obvious to everyone it suppose.

For the record here's my CSL DD setup:

V300 with slightly lower oversteer and slightly higher understeer.
(Can't think of anything else to add)

    Fanalab:
    # SEN: Auto
    # FFB: 100%
    # FFS: Peak
    # NDP: 7%
    # NFR: 2%
    # NIN: 0%
    # INT: OFF
    # FEI: 80%
    # FOR: 100%
    # SPR: 100%
    # DPR: 100%
    # BLI: OFF

    # In Game: Gain 64 / LFB 0 / FX 32 / Damping 1

Yes, absolutely right, the files are very complex and the hardware also plays an important role.I've already mentioned that these customs have huge potential, but in order to move forward I had to take different paths, the V400 files are further proof of this.No damping, no friction and no LFB to use neither in-game nor on the base are major changes, but in my opinion they are worth it if this is already integrated in the file.My goal was to not have to make any complicated adjustments and to set as few filters as possible on the base:)

So you’re saying there is even more we can get through the FFB?

That's the advantage of a custom file, it can be constantly adjusted and improved and also react to the current physics. Of course there are limits and, above all, it has to be implemented. For example, if I reduce or increase the roughness of the tires, that's not progress for me, it's just personal taste. Maybe the progress will continue, maybe it won't go any further. Unfortunately, I can't give you an exact answer;)

    For Logitech? It's irrelevant. It's a machine :D
For you, test some and see what makes more sense to you. No one has the power to know what you like or need ;)

    Hallo, Daniel,
Ich finde den V400 großartig. Was und wo müsste ich in deiner Datei ändern, um die Mitte etwas enger zu machen. Entschuldigung für mein Englisch.

Man, ten billion of thanks for these. Absolutely the best FFB I have had in AMS2 so far (CSL DD 8Nm, latest beta). Gigantisch gut!

@Danielkart Many thanks for these files!
I've been using your files for a long time and they have always felt great, but this latest v400 is next level. I can feel a lot more detail and cars are actually easier to drive. Great work!

(fyi CSL 8Nm using 6-8Nm file)

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it is actually interesting for me to know which base. This way I can improve the files next time if necessary. But I think the V400 will be fun for many months. I don't see any need to change anything at the moment
Enjoy Ams2 and have fun with the files:)

I couldn't agree more. I have been using your files for several months now but the v400 is a huge step forward. I run a simucube 2 pro with pretty heavy ffb and your heaviest v400 file has completely eliminated any oscillation...and feels absolutely fantastic!

    @Danielkart

Using a TS-PC base here, and the V400 number 3 file 6-8 nm

With dampening turned off in the driver and in game 0, i'm still feeling a heavy amount of dampening? What setting do i adjust to experiment with lower amounts?

    Thx

Hello! I know there are bases that work a little differently with the forces, including Logitech and TS PC Base. It's difficult for me to say what they can do because I don't know the base. Try the 4th file with the same settings. This might help because this file works with less force and therefore with less damping. The 2nd option is to change a value in this line:

    (steering_angle_rack (* (+ steering_angle_FL steering_angle_FR) 0.75 3.14159265 ratio_scale))

    Change the value 0.75 to 0.6 .

Maybe another custom for your base is better, that can of course be the case. Also try files from other modders;)

Yes, file 4 is a much better fit. My base is belt driven and around 6nm, so i hadn't considered the fourth one. I'll play about with it and see what settings are best.

    Thanks again!

Yes, Thrustmaster and Logitech sometimes process the forces a little differently and the damping is also processed differently. It may make sense to use a different file

I always try every new Customs, just to come back to your files, thank you!

FIle 2 is The choice for my TM-TX even It seems it a bit overdamped.
File 3 is less informative but overdamped too.

Will try your suggestion to reduce damping some posts ago.
