Whats this cheese everyone keeps talking about? Dont understand, the only cheese i know of in ams2 is the aforementioned in my previous post

 

I'm pretty sure it's placebo.

Can be also about what track is used, track conditions or just driving differences.

I have had plenty of those all myself (including placebo) when trying the beta builds and in the main release too.

Very often I try a build with some car and get this overly positive first impression (or negative), but next time I can have a bit different track or track conditions or just drive differently (more conservative or more aggressive to a point overdriving it intentionally to see the limit) and end up with different conclusion. The conditions and track itself make especially huge difference, in some tracks the car can feel like **** and in others just perfect.

Also the more you drive the car or same sim or version of it, the more natural it can start to feel to a point you might become blind to the flaws or just driving in a way that highlights those flaws less. I jump between rF2 and AMS2 all the time currently, driving competitively in rF2 and "just for fun or for testing" in AMS2 and it can be a bit rough sometimes.. it really highlights some of the more extreme characteristics of each sim.

 

The forum usually goes into cheese worshiping right before an update is due, but it hasn’t happened this time

1. Comment to your point that the longer you drive a car the more natural its behaviour does become.
Actural there is some scientific facts behind this.
Because with all new routines we introduce ourself to then if we try focused and concentrated its normal that the first day we can be pretty good at it.
BUT when we have a good sleep afterwards then instantly(!) the day after we are better.
The scientific explanation is that one of the things the brain does while we are sleeping is that a lot of the new skills we have used focused brainpower on is moved over to the instinctive & intuitive department.
Personally I have seen it a lot of times when I have tried very hard to position myself on one of the TT LBs. Then the next day it suddenly does become much easier to take even a few steps up on the ladder.

2. Your description of rF2 vs AMS2 is interesting for me. Because I really liked as example the Formula Renault 3.5 in rF2. Hehe hard pressed there are only a few of the formula cars in AMS2 I consider on the same level behaviorwise
But because my rF2 install again and again did become cluttered up because the game began crashing - then after a few total reinstalls I deleted this game completely.
But from time to time Im shortly thinking about having a functioning rF2.
Mainly to be able as you to compare these 2 games.
Hehe but then when I remember how many hours I messed with that other fu#¤%&/ cluttered up game to get it running I refrain to waste more time

Soooo, when will we get the most famous cheese race implemented in AMS2? Is this going to be a mystery DLC?



Physics seems to be ok as they are and I haven't seen a game based on that. Fall Guys were kind of similar, but there was no cheese. There's clearly a hunger here for both racing and cheese.

 

Offtopic, but Stumble Guys is the "new" Fall Guys. Lower requirements (absurd how bloated was Fall Guys) and works from mobile. And it is f2p. I have played it with friends a couple of Friday Nights.

 

Its tire model is fairly lacking, though.

 

I agree. Still, there is only one level with vehicles... the whole Newtonian Physics model is fairly lacking everywhere else so I think tires are ok.
