the last update dropped same day as developer report. i might have got overly excited last night. i feel like a kid again waiting for christmas. damn it was tough being 8 years old.

 

Yeah Indycars just before they began to get rounded/raised noses etc. I loved that 1989-1993 period.

 

I loved the Monterey Stock Car in PC1 and was gutted it didn’t make PC2. We need that, and a modern shape, to tick those boxes.

I would hope to see F1 liveries on a stock car instead!

 

I was also wondering why there is a ferrari-inspired car in Classic Gen4 and Hi-Tech Gen1 but not in Classic Gen3 and Hi-Tech Gen2.. Not a vital absence though..

now the physics are ina good place can we please put the full development force into the other aspect that will actually attract players to the game, a working and fit for purpose multiplayer that is actually capable of hosting leagues, it's been the least touched and developed part of the game since the pacrs days and it's totally unfit for purpose with numerous bugs and poor networking/sync issues

theres a reason ams2 is the least played sim and iracing/acc etc are very popular.. multiplayer, acc single player is worse than ams2's so it shows just how crucial multiplayer is to player numbers, human competition is what attracts ppl to sport, even RF2 has made a resurgence with their new multiplayer system( although rf2 was a decent league platform before)

 

Btw, what do the workshop content updates contain? just had another and i had a moment there for a second.

Does anyone know if the safety car will be implemented in the formation lap with the next update?

 

Thats why they wrote about improving the MP next towards the end of the dev update. Looking forward to try the new update with everything more fleshed out.

FUSA Retro class. I would take either a 1987 OR 1992-93 field. Between 88 and 91 Ilmor Chevrolet engines won every race bar two IIRC. It has to have manual gearbox.

From the bottom of my heart I really hope this topic got the attention it deserve. In its current state there are plenty of tracks where the AI will always crash or take wrong lines. A clear example is the grid start in Silverstone 1991, where the AI starting on the left side always go off track. I love the sim, love driving it and content wise is perfect, is just these AI things that take away from immersion.
In any case, I really appreciate all the work you guys have put.

 

Has the new physics been also implemented on the karts (and rental karts too, which had broken physics?) Thanks and great dev update, don’t ever stop the ramblings, it’s a joy to read thru.

 

Today i tried 2 online races, and both didn’t start because of bugs,
I hope this gets fixed
