The last dev cycle as come to an end and a new one has started in closed beta, it will be a while until the next public update

One would hope they will fix the longstanding bugs like pit crew on track, driver aids disappearing etc etc as part of the existing cycle, or this is getting like Nvidia drivers where they have stuff pending for years and don´t address it.

 

I'm a Brazilian too and this guy is 100% correct. Cars sold and especially built here are like that song from Daft Punk: harder, better, faster, stronger. But the other way around.

 

Well, I went to SteamDB and I can see is that the Crash Bandicoot trilogy had it's price increased in Brazil.

Well, it's been a while since I've touched ams2 or any other sim for that matter, I think 1.5 was the last time. Things really seem to be coming together now, the cars that I've tried feel better than ever, the AI is finally at a point where it's enjoyable to race them. Seems like 99% of the time when something goes horribly wrong I can be confident it was me who was at fault, which is so much less frustration inducing in general. Looks and performs better than any other sim in VR.

I really hope one day we will see those nose cams in AMS2, great sense of speed

 

Think we will also need the video breakup and static to keep the immersion

 

After the last major update, the gear shift animation disappeared and, worst of all, the vibration that was generated for those of us who played with automatic gears with the gamepad.

We lose a lot of immersion.

We have always had little vibration with the gamepad. If you take away the vibration with automatic gears, it takes away a lot of immersion (running long straights without any vibration is almost a horror... I don't want to imagine what Lemans must be like).

Please Reiza, give us back the animation and vibration with automatic gears. Thank you.

AMS2 by far the simulator I ran the most in 2023 (350 hours)

 

I uninstalled everything bar AMS2. ACC bored me, AC has no AI, rF2 was a great sim, but somehow I don’t “feel” it anymore, it kinda lost its way, i thought about iRacing but I can’t convince myself to give it a second chance.. too little single seaters..

 

Just tried Raceroom w/ new tyre model. Meh. The tire model is better but the dull, unresponsive physics is still there. Looks like we'll have to wait until GTRevival for a decent alternative. I think AC2 will also be good. AMS2 will be on the next steps by then, though.

 

I just stumbled this video where someone takes the Sauber-Mercedes C9 Group C on foggy morning in Donington. It's so cool that we can exactly replicate this experience in AMS, including the foggy damp track early morning feeling. Doing it in VR with bass shakers adds to the immersion. Only thing missing are the g-forces and the smell

I discovered it in the Files on SteamDB while searching again. Between the Lancer and Mini so its AMS2 GUI
