reiza please do not put the energy into the AI. a bit, but more please the multiplayer. You can achieve great things and reach the top of the competition simulations. or surpass them

But on the positive side, it does prove the Reiza know and would also like the possibility of having bigger grids.

I have seen someone comment this way on RaceDepartment some time ago and my response was: How will improving Only the multiplayer allow me to have a good race with any car, any class, in any weather, any settings with a full grid at any point of the day i ever want without having to listen to complains from other people who want to do something else instead and having only half the grid full anyway ? Reiza will obviously continue working on both the AI and multiplayer, as they should.

Just found today that there are two problems that I have been mentioning in Beta thread for (I can't remember how long now) are still here in the latest public build.

That is the Mini Cooper 1965 wheels sinking through the tarmac (example in video below)

And The BMW 2002 Turbo. It has suspension that is so soft and has so much travel, its wheels poke through the arches just under comperession (example in video below)

I've looked at every video I can find of this car and in none of them can I find this car with suspension this soft and so much body roll.

Do you think it comes down to some peoples systems not being strong enough ?
In ACC it throws a warning when going over 29 ai I believe so maybe something similar to that.

Did the latest update reintroduce the Daytona chicane AI problem?
In the first 3 laps alone several GT3 and GTE Porsches crashed out in different ways.

What are your AI Skill and Aggression settings? In my tests, after they adjusted AI corridors to minimize the risk of these incidents, at max aggression I had similar outcomes, at medium aggression I had no such issues. But others had different results. My standard setting is 100-105/Med.

I think that the AI rolling calibration issue mentioned a few pages ago, that made the GT3 Gen2s slow on the straights, might also affect the F-Retro Gen2 AI. It feels like they aren't on full throttle, with or without slipstream. On tracks like 70's Kyalami, you can easily gain over a second on them on the long straights.

Interesting, This race was run on low aggression and 113 difficulty.
Am I right in my observation that the issue was fixed for short period of time with V1.5.5.4?
Maybe it was 1.5.5.5 and/or the 1.5.5.5 Hotfix 2 that broke it again.

Reported graphic issues myself a couple of times , it’s not a biggy ,but would be good to have fixed as it’s hilarious to watch these in replay.

it’s very hard to find a vid ( thanks for that open rabbit hole :) ) of a original spec car being driven with intent and off public roads and outside of cockpit , just about any track based footage would mostly be in a car that has been improved.

This one does show quite a bit of suspension travel.

and this really old footage from a Japanese review is quite good , at least the guy is giving it some . There’s a great still shot from an old mag at end that shows just how far up the wheel can go into the wheel well .

As much as I love doing multiplayer with friends (AMS2 is my friend's group main racing game for our casual nights, and we play most nights - I love the game and have over 600 hours on Steam), as long as the community stays as small as is, there is little to justify dedicating all resources like that to multiplayer. The game just doesn't have a whole lot of players in multiplayer, and the few that play it I'd say 30% or so are not completely clueless (from my experience). While I do think that it absolutely needs some improvements on stability and some extra features to spice it up, outside of leagues you'll rarely find any lobby that people are doing more than a 5 lap race (usually GT3s) with no damage and no fuel consumption around a dry, fully rubbered in F1 track.

AMS2s content thrives in it's variety of series and different scenarios with weather and time of day and everything, and unfortunately multiplayer isn't the best place to experience it right now because the online community rarely explores any of it. When I host lobbies I constantly get people asking me to "remove random weather" or "remove track rubber progression", people online simply do not care to play with the features that sets AMS apart from other titles and it really sucks. I do wish that the multiplayer was more populated, but the majority of new players I encounter online just drive like idiots, and without a decently sized player pool I don't think even stuff like ELO and safety rating can fix that.

AI improvements are key to AMS2s longevity, and I'm really happy that Reiza is constantly working on it. I think having a solid singleplayer experience with career modes and great AI are what's gonna cement AMS into one of the best singleplayer sim racing titles, if it isn't up there already. That is the best way you can experience all of the features in this title, and unfortunately something that you won't likely find people doing online.

No idea there. I do have a higher end system though so maybe thats why id didnt have issues.

Nope it's not that, there were people with top-end systems having those issues, the only real pattern (at least from what I saw) is that it took longer for issues to pop up on higher end machines but they eventually would.

Facts, make a GT3 10 minute race server at Monza with all realism disabled and you will have a full lobby right away. Try choosing the Chevrolet 1999 cars at Curitiba and everyone's out. Never mind weather that is anything other than "sunny with no clouds".

Trying to figure out how to get a Rallycross race to use the joker lap, am I missing something obvious or it's not there?

That should be it. Select a Rallycross preset and it will enforce rules.
