    I got the sweaty feeling much more when I started doing MP, but started to be much more relaxed the more I did those MP races and trying to ignore the results (my only goals usually are to finish the race, have a clean one and take it as a experience and change to improve).

    So I definitely would encourage try those more often and slowly get used to it. It's a opportunity also to start making (online) friends too if you find some nice communities where you can discuss the race and thus have more things in common.

    I’m already apart of some communities and my big issue is that I get really warm when I focus hard for longer periods of time. I might invest in a ventilation seat. My other issue is that most races are at a time I don’t like

    How about a topic that aint repetitive and toxic like

    speculating what series from IMSA will be featured and if we will also get classic IMSA content?

    Yep, same with Group A, having just two when there could also be Audi, Porsche, Ford, Toyota, EDIT and also Opel and Alfa Romeo.

    I think almost everything outside of the Wethertech Sportscar Championship is a bit of a stretch. Except for Mx-5 Cup simply due to the sheer amount of hype that series has gained over the past 3 years.

    I don't think Detroit is happening just because it's a lot of work for a track that no one is really excited about, I don't even think the hardcore IMSA fans would be too upset about Detroit being excluded. Not to mention that there's also a very good replacement for that track already in the game, Cleavland!

    As for the cars, a full suite of LMDh's is absolutely possible, we are only missing two cars after all. I think both Oreca and Ligier will appear as well. However, I don't think we're getting the Acura NSX GTD since this is most likely going to be the last year an NSX runs in IMSA, as the only team that runs it is switching to another car next year. I also don't think we'll get the Lexus RCF. Don't have any logic for why I feel we wont get it, just a hunch.

    Though, hopefully I'm wrong and we get a full suite of IMSA goodies. Including cars and tracks from the Michelin Pilot Cup (Mid-Ohio my beloved <3). I also hope for a small selection of GTP's as the Corvette GTP is almost certainly feeling homesick right now :D. And of course a few period accurate renditions of American tracks as well! Though that's certainly in "Optomistic" territory.

    New Detroit Downtown Street Circuit might be on the same level of Long Beach, maybe a little bit complicated, but still there's no limit? I can't see IMSA x AMS2 contract without some tracks just because its hard to do LOL

    Also I think all IMSA simracing fanbase are hyped to have it in simracing, who said no?

    For the Lexus I think it's just that Toyota is quite a disinterested/smug licenser, the "if I don't know you I'm not interested" kind of company. Unlike brands like Porsche and BMW who are very happy to work with everyone.

    For the NSX even if I still see it as one of the less likely, I'm not quite as pessimistic. If they can get a license for the ARX-06 then they already have a foot in the door to make the NSX happen. But we'll see in the end.

    I also share doubt for Detroit, not necessarily on the premise of hype but more of feasibility. Tbh I don't know much if anything of the challenges of making a laser scanned rendition of a temporary track but I imagine it's a lot more complicated than for permanent tracks or very well established street circuits.

    Mid-Ohio would be very lovely.

    This is a dumb thing to argue about, but all I'll say ive been hanging out with a lot of endurance racing fans (mainly WEC and IMSA) over the past year or so online. I've not seen very much (if any at all) hype or excitement for the race. And it is almost certainly not gonna be at the same level of Long Beach, that's like saying the new Madrid street circuit in F1 could be on the same level as Monaco. Possible? I guess, but it is astronomically unlikely.

    I think my wording wasn't the best, but yeah I 100% agree here. It's more that I don't think there is enough excitement to justify Reiza putting in the amount of work and effort to put the track in the game and have it meet their standards (unlike Long Beach, or Monaco). But of course, if Reiza thinks they can do it they should absolutely go for it!

    I think it depends on when the release of the IMSA 2024 championship is planned, they can do sort of a lite content release this year as they have half the tracks and some cars, but for a full proper championship you need all the cars and tracks. So I think its a stretch to get it available for this year, Its 4 full circuits we are talking about here, those take a long time to make, plus all the cars needed.

    Also having the IMSA license is a start but I believe tracks and car/teams have their own licensing/rights they own so getting those deals made can take some time too. Otherwise it might be something like what PC2 had with the Indy license, where all the teams and drivers where in the sim, but not the proper full championship.

    Reiza also have their other planned content in the pipeline, including the other historic LeMans, plus the cars to accompany it, the other adrenaline pack, etc. So its gotta be a pretty damn busy time for Reiza right now, and I think one way or the other there's gonna be some disappointed people when this or that DLC or content gets delayed.

    I can think of many, many street circuits, present and past, that apply to series we already have in the game, that I would pick ahead of the completely unexciting Detroit street circuit. And the old F1 circuit in Detroit was equally at the bottom of the barrel (except maybe the Las Vegas casino parking lot) for that series.

    Given how difficult it is to do a street circuit in a major urban area properly, I would personally prefer the effort go in to a different circuit--street or otherwise.

    If there is some agreement to do the entire 2024 suite of circuits, OK, but it would still be at the bottom on my personal list of tracks I used. It's just not a great track like Long Beach, Surfer's, Toronto, or even non-street tracks like Mid-Ohio or at least a dozen more from Europe and Australia.

    Just my opinion.

    Well there will be a reason why they're hiring 3D artists :D

    I'm not as pessimistic. Reiza have a pretty solid track record of putting out close to two digits of track content per year (last year: Rallycross versions for Hockenheim, Nürburgring, Spa, Foz, Tykki, that other dirt track, Barcelona, Barcelona 1991, Montreal 1991, Interlagos 1991, Nordschleife 1971, Bathurst 1983, and last but not least, Le Mans complete with Circuit Bugatti).

    Sure some of that will have been in the works for quite a while (especially the RallyX stuff and of course Bathurst/Nürburgring, which had been announced for 2022 already), but I'm also sure that Reiza have had Sebring and Road Atlanta in their sights for quite a while - after all we've had talk of Racin' USA Pt. 4 since 2022.

    As for street circuits, Detroit is really not a particularly good one. Do Montjuic instead, or if it has to be a contemporary IndyCar one that IMSA could plausibly drive on (though it'd be carnage, but Detroit probably also will be), look no further than Toronto, here in a beautiful rendition of RacecarsDon'tSlide (TM)

    Would much prefer Detroit Belle Isle than the circuit which is on the '24 calendar but that probably won't happen. Perhaps even the actually used one might not happen because street tracks are a lot more work with all those buildings and track side objects. But I'm glad if I'm wrong. :D

    They work pretty damn fast, I agree on that and experienced it myself with the last relentless beta. But it feels like the IMSA partnership is a sudden development, as to why they are hiring as well, so those tracks might be starting to be developed after said agreement. Anyhow I am sure we will get nice content this year, but at the same time keeping the possibility of some of the previously announced content getting delayed real.

    I wonder how this could work without a central data server that could record and store all the information that’s seamlessly able to be accessed in game ui by the user so it’s not a drag on game resources.

    Currently we are able to do this via Just Race as a whole separate point of access. But can’t be viewed in game of course.
    It works very well and is always be developed. maybe in time they will be able to develop a portal that can be viewed in game with some collaboration with Reiza .

    There's two things I've been wondering about in regard to the IMSA and F-Ult G2 overhaul announcements.

    How thick will the center pillar of the halo be? For the original version the halo center pillar got thinned to make a compromise on visibility for non-VR use. But since, we got the option to hide it so will the updated version have a normal halo?

    The second is in regard to how will the IMSA cars be handled in the sim. Will they be in a GTP and GTD classes separate from the GT3 Gen2 and LMDh classes? Will the the original classes be reworked? And which treatment will the new LMP2 class get?
    Because I think surely, since the goal seems to be to have authentic IMSA grids like for the Stockcar Brazil classes, there will be a need to be specifically two Caddies, 4 Porsche 963, a single SC63 and Ligier, etc...
    Personally I think it makes perfect sense to separate the official IMSA team cars from the already existing classes in the same way in Raceroom the DTM 2021/23 and ADAC GT Masters classes are separate from the generic GTR3 class.
    But I feel the question remains for the future LMP2 class, will it get a generic class, an IMSA class or both? And if the later will the generic class be acquirable separately from the IMSA DLC?
