I highly recommend the last one I mentioned in the list, it's a beautiful movie, a bit a hidden gem you could say. Enjoy!

 

The Pinchcliffe Grand Prix (Flåklypa Grand Prix). It was the dramaturgic inspiration for the Star Wars pod race, and also the reason why Christian von Koenigsegg wanted to build cars.

Thanks a lot for posting this. I saw this movie once on TV when I was a little boy and was fascinated by Il Tempo Gigante.

I just tried to find this movie for sale online somewhere, but couldn't find anything at first because I looked for it under the English title - then I came upon a 12 year old forum post that had a link to the online shop of the film studio - which is still there, and the BluRay is still in stock. So now I'm 21 EUR poorer and one nostalgic childhood memory richer

 

Ford v Ferrari is my pick! The story, the cars, and the whole dynamic between Shelby and Miles are just awesome.

 

Grand Prix, for sure, even if the script is crap. Rush is good. Le Mans only for the racing scenes. Many people liked Ford v Ferrari, but I was very disappointed because I saw it after reading the excellent book "Go Like Hell" by AJ Baime, one of the best books on racing out there. The movie oversimplified what happened and turned Le Mans into a duel between the good Americans and the evil Italians. The truth was a lot more complex and interesting.

Senna is well made but this is another movie that presents a highly questionable version of what really happened. I'm thinking that the upcoming Netlix biopic will be the same. I will watch it for sure, but... caveat emptor, as they say.

 

If you want to check out a great documentary on Netflix, try "Need for Weed" in the Bad Sports series. It's the story of Randy Lanier, who financed his career in IMSA and Indycar by becoming the biggest marijuana trafficker in the USA. Riveting stuff.

I've really enjoyed that one. Driven with Sylvester Stallone I thought was cool. I noticed quickly too the exact Indy skins I downloaded from Overtake are all in it as well. Fun.

Speed is my favourite that gives sensation of pushing to the limit and getting as fast as possible.
