Automobilista 2 May 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt1

Unlikely. Part 1 said that the update is several weeks away, and that was in May. At the earliest I would expect late July/early August, but it could possibly be longer than that.

 

I know but I hope at least it will be just few weeks after pt. 2. I an really excitrd for the new features!

 

Why not watch the 24 Hours of Spa to pass the time? We as racing fans are so lucky that just about any motor-race in the world is available to watch with just a click of a button. And to watch so many brands battle eachother, Ferrari, Mercades, BMW, Aston, McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche, and even Ford!

And quite literally as I was typing this they went FOUR WIDE down the Kemmel Straight! So many fans (especially those who only watch F1 and NASCAR) love to complain about modern racing, but when looking at things as a whole objectively there has been no better time to be a racing fan.

 

F5 for the 2587984563214879354218 times in the last hour.

 

Someone let me know when part 2 drops, I'm too busy driving the beta to notice.

 

Good advice on watching the 24h of spa - until I noticed there are Audis and I got excited again about the Dev update

 

As a self certified hype-man, time for a reality check:

DO NOT EXPECT 1.6 release before august.

with that said, we CAN expect dev update pt.2

 

This reminds me of the good old days when I used to be this hyped with no knowledge of coming. I know what’s coming, but I’m as hyped

Same here, I'm lucky enough that I can can fire up the pc and take the *REDACTED* for a few laps around *REDACTED*, but I'm just as hyped for the actual release like everyone else is.

Simracing in general is having a cracking year in '24 innit.

 

To all those that aren't AMS2 Club Members:
Having access to the beta is not as fun as you might think... If you think waiting for a dev update is bad, try waiting several days for a changelog that is supposed to arrive soon™ after the update itself!

There's also the issue of having two installs and taking up twice the disk space, and if you have OCD there's the issue of constantly comparing car handling of various cars between the two installs and getting car setups mixed up.

 

As someone who beta tests for another game I can confirm a lot of beta testing is "we fixed this tiny thing that nobody would particularly notice that might take up a single line in the patchlog, please meticulously stress test every feature of the game to ensure we didn't accidentally break something else" (Testing the big stuff is always fun though, it's just not the standard like you'd expect)

 

In AMS1 the distribution of AI cars on the track in a race is fantastic and varies a lot! Will there any improvements in 1.6 patch of AMS2 ? Because in F-Ultimate category the distribution of AI cars is ok but F-3 for example or other minor categories AI are distributed in group of 3-4 cars because if a AI car is behind another AI car they stick to each other. AMS1 probably was more simply but more funny.

 

Tbh we dont even know everything thats coming, still some blanks to be filled and sometimes the dev updates have stuff thats not in beta yet
