Would be cool if Renato could grant us a new update about the update even if I think he would say exactly the same thing as two weeks ago. I guess negotiating a licensing agreement takes time, but I have to admit I'd love to get a little something, even if it's just a screenshot or a short message

That, and also if you want to present new features they need to be developed far enough for you to be able to show them off. I'm not sure this is the case yet for some stuff that's already announced, like the new UI, as these haven't made it to the beta stage of development yet.

 

We already know 4/5 of the cars in the next DLC, and Sebring was also teased on IG, so I'm not too pressed about the dev update myself...

 

Thought I'd pick up LMU to hold me over for Sebring... Then I find out they couldn't get TrackIR working even though the plugin is there?! Wth!

Studio 397 knows how to make a tire model and their car feel is fantastic. But boy do they always have gaping holes in their sim and they are perpetually "we're working on it" but somehow their sim always have gaping holes.

 

Have not been to Ams2 for a while.
Was it a tyre upgrade within 4-5 months?
What I discovered that GT3 car became too slidy on the corners. Side slide is so huge that it just over-harcores the feelings that is not a thing and never happens on warm tyres in any other SIM of in irl (I have been driving Ferrari challenge rent a car recently)

Totally agree on Surfers Paradise, best circuit ever. Imagine running the Indycars around it with some true height data would be awesome.

 

Renato said the update till come at earliest in August - Its likely to be very late August or September

Right now are people talking about the pt. 2 of the 1.6 dev update Renato talked about a few weeks ago.

 

Somewhere Macau is crying

 

I've driven Macau in RaceRoom and somehow RR's version seems too smooth for me? It's not really what I expect from that track. I'm unsure of RR is laser scanned or LIDAR or something but seems not accurate to me?

 

I give you it's kinda cool, but nothing can hold a candle to the best street circuit of all time:



One excellent outbraking spot, both very slow hairpins in a spot where you can use them to go side by side, an insanely fast back half and tremendous elevation changes backended by one of the most infamous jumps in world motorsports, all this packaged in a neat 3.8 km.

This was street circuits at their peak - it may even be racing circuits in general at their peak - it's never gonna be better than Montjuic Park.
