If people wan't to get hyped up about the 1.6 update (on a 1.6 update thread of all places...) then i say bloody good luck to 'em, carry on the hype.

I keep falling in love with the car handling of the Stock 2024
Can't wait for the 1.6 magic sprinkled over caterhams , formula trainer, formula junior and the M1.
And now that I am seeing the game with good eyes I can actually appreciate how great the force feedback is, how natural the AI is and how much variety is in the game already.
With 1.6 this game could become the first choice among many sim racers.

 

Hopefully your post is a joke too, or you are going to feel real dumb.

I feel you on that. I spent my money on every damn DLC Reiza offered us since day one. I felt some much honesty and transparency (I'm a game dev in the AAA industry and it's something I never saw.) that straight from the beginning I had the feeling that this sim could be at some point the "next big thing". Time passed, so much "game changing" updates, some really incredible content, the Racing USA 1-2-3 DLCs, the famous 1.5 physic update, the historical Nordschleife... and so on. But there were always something missing. A great, stable, competitive, ranked, multiplayer and god know what in the driving feeling. We always had the feeling that with the latest physics update we where there, like with the extraordinary Formula Junior, but again, after comparison with other games, something was still missing. But, here I am, still preaching that AMS 2 is "the next big thing". I'm telling everyone, even my wife, to try out the damn Stock Car 2024 because it's better than the bread, that she's incredibly natural and intuitive to drive and that's only a tease of the next update that, once and for all, will be, GAME CHANGING!!! Let's go Reiza, prove me right haha, you are the best, cheers!

 

I wish the next update will be good and final. It was good time, but changing physics all the time and not reaching basics is a bit frustrating. Car still feels arcadish when you should throw it to the corner. (Don't race Ams2 only because of this weird feeling). Last chance. It's time to make it great.
Not a hate. Really hope you came make it, I believe in you. Beside this, you are best in other aspects of offline SIM racing, immersive the Ams2 has, etc, and it's final step to become the best . Stay on the wave !

Since some people felt offended by my last post I'd like to clarify some stuff: I'm sorry that I've called you guys immature for discussing AMS2 and v1.6 over and over and over again. I've changed my mind. You're actually all sick and I really mean it. It's called obsessive-compulsive disorder and you guys should seek help. It's not healthy to keep thinking about the same thing every day and every night.

Jokes apart, I've been playing lots of modded Road Atlanta in Assetto Corsa while waiting for v1.6. I'm really super excited for this track to come to AMS2, even more than Sebring. It has everything I love in a classic circuit: esses, blind spots, high-risk-high-reward corners, downhills, uphills.
I've been playing mainly with the Mazda MX-5 (Assetto Corsa native content). What a fun little car it is.

Agreed. Two things.
1. Its a very AMS2 phenomenon. In my limited eperience the forums and discovrds of other sims talk about the sim in hand, the racing, the setups, the hardware. No other SIM appears so obsessed with a point tenth release. Mind blowing.
2. I can foresee the moment its out we have a very brief respite where these folks moan about the patch, and then another 6 months talking about what the next patch may bring and how one day the sim will be worth playing, if only for that next patch to land.

imho very silly. Go and enjoy what you have. Tomorrow will come whether you wait like a 5 year old or not.

Dude, you talk about iracing with AMS2 next to it, it's like a crime, AMS2 is very complete and superior to iracing, what makes iracing popular is the same thing that made AMS1 and Rfactor very popular, the open source for mods, but the difference, between Rfactor and AMS1, we have a very good Sim online and offline, and most of the mods are from the community and free, a lot of different tracks and competitions, inracing everything is paid... AMS2 for me is the best sim, even with all the problems and bugs, it has a warm place in my heart and rents an apartment in my mind... absolutely if AMS2 was like AMS1 with community mod management no one knows what iracing is, no one knew about iracing before 2020, with the release of AMS2, and ASM1 will be obsolete... Reiza help our community to make mods, tracks for this wonderful sim
