Why are people so impatient about the new update I dont get it. It is there when it is there and not before, in my opinion it is only about future illusions. All those expectations often only make the disappointment bigger, personally I wait calmly and enjoy AMS2.

People always get excited for new updates and this is the biggest one to AMS2. Of course people will be excited, but this is for the dev update and I’m just having fun. If Crimson wants me to stop stalking Renato’s account, I will

Let's stop stalking all possible ressorces for a bit, shall we? There will be news at some point and until there there isn't much to do than waiting anyway. The team is still hard at work - keep the calmness for a bit folks - not giving you any estimates deliberately for now.

I tested another sim with graphic updates yesterday. It is a huge jump there and done very well. Are the graphic changes in 1.6 similar to that? What I mean is a noticable change in graphics.

“One of the major new developments in the upcoming milestone update is a complete overhaul of environment lighting properties along with revised vehicle materials and various shader updates. This has resulted in considerably upgraded visuals, with more natural & cohesive integration of cars/tracks in the various weather and time settings offered within the game. It covers every track/car, with negligible impact on performance so all users can enjoy the improvements.”

I might be one of the few thinking this (but actually seeing the comments under the YT videos it seems I am not alone)....but honestly I find the old R3E gfx engine and shaders more natural and lifelike.
The new graphics looks to me flatter, duller, less realistic.
So, to comment your question, I personally hope that 1.6 gfx updates are not in that direction, but towards a "better", more realistic direction.
    Again, personal opinion.

Is this a statement with whose sentiment you agree?

    Coming to this hr
I'm talking from my point of view that is different from most of most AMS2 fans.

I really disliked AMS2 until very recently.
I'm not that bothered with features. what I love in simracing is the touch and feel of cars. I got the game after I heard that 1.5 had a reworked physics system and it was a huge disappointment.

Cars felt wrong to me, very lenient and arcadey. It was weird because I could tell that the cars physics were way more advanced than in AC for example. But the result was so disappointing, even the current Forza has a more natural feel in cars, in my opinion.

Then the unexpected happened. Not only Reiza was aware of this situation but they were working hard to change things. And the early results with the "minor thread adjustments" of January and February were a happy surprise and gave me hope. Then the Stock 24 and F-Ult2 with their experimental tyre models happened and I was blown away.
So even though 1.5 was marketed as the physics improvement update it looks like 1.6 is the update that is going to take the physics to the level I was hoping for.

Not only I get good car handling but of course I get all the nice work that has been done in AMS2 for years. A truly enjoyable AI, a beautiful game that my poor laptop connected to my rig is still able to run, and that special charm that AMS2 certainly has.

If you also consider the other 1.6 improvements regarding MP, UI, AI and rain. Well, that is going to make AMS2 the best sim racing game to me.

I will have to double check, but I can tell you rainy conditions look A LOT better. I will have to check in dry, but I think it makes more of an impact when watching replays or taking pictures than when driving. So I agree, but it doesn’t look too different when driving IMO

If I may speculate a bit more about this post, which would "blow" us away with "cool elements", I hope it is the return of the snow(storm) feature from project cars, that was way too much fun to play around with. ❄️❄️❄️
