I was always very critical about the car handling in AMS2 but now that I'm sure the update will be great I am finding myself more relaxed and not so negative with the current physics.

I'm falling in love with the Caterham Supersport. I have raced it online with racecraft. Beating friends time. And setting a Nordschleife with weather getting worse and worse.


One more thing. I'm not a fan of LFM. They have the numbers it was the original ranked service. But:

The website is horrendous. Looks from 2005.
The community is very different from the AMS2 vibe. The community there is very competitive and in general not very friendly. I have been talked in condescending ways a few times there. And ignored a few times too.
They also use on AC circuits mods with content that has been ripped from other games. Very dodgy.

I think racecraft is doing a great job, they don't have a big userbase but they managed to find workarounds with the current limitations of the game. While LFM just couldn't bother.

RCO webapp is great and they will also improve their system with 1.6. It is not that LFM has an exclusivity on the 1.6 MP technology.
And in general I have had a much better personal experience with the users and admins of RCO than with LFM.

So yes be excited with LFM but don't ignore RCO because it will probably suit most of you better.

Please, don't break VR with your big update !

 

Just did a back to back between 1.5 and 1.6 ,Ginetta G55 at Kyalami.
curb sounds non existent in 1.5, sound fantastic in 1.6, no comparison

 

I think there will be an impact but hopefully not that bad.

 

What could break VR ? How could VR be broken ? I never saw any update break VR in AMS2.

 

I think he is thinking that the graphics update could tank ams2 very hard.

regarding I hope they managed to minimized the headlights negate effect on performance in rain or night conditions
Even my 4080s struggle to keep 90fps locked in these scenarios using high AA

 

I do not understand your questions, i legit asked what graphics update is there supposed to be ? I do not remember there being a mention of any graphical change besides some shaders being adjusted.

And yes the fact all 32 driver headlights are fully rendered at all times is absurd, there needs to be a new graphics setting added "number of headlights rendered Ahead of the player" and also "number of headlights rendered Behind the player".

 

Totally agree! Looking forward to finishing the “to do list” that the Fun Warden gave me so I can spend more time on RCO

I’m hoping in v1.6 that the ai logic for passing slower classes is better and working flags have had some love. I know not everything can be done but they are important things for me so I’ll be slightly disappointed if it’s not been looked at.

AMS2 V1.5.6 INCOMING - WITH SOME V1.6 BITS

Before the big V1.6 update due to arrive a few months from now, AMS2 will receive a smaller update towards the end of this month, and in it users will get a glimpse into some of the developments we´ve been working on the past few months.

GRAPHICS for both cars and tracks are being boosted by some excellent art & shader developments with minimal to no impact on performance. These include an increasing number of tracks making use of 3D trees in the immediate trackside surroundings (combining with the otherwise perfectly suitable billboard spinning 2D trees which remain in use at longer distances) as well as much nicer water shader makinglakes, rivers and sea look signifcantly more life-like - both developments in displaybelow at the picturesque Ibarra circuit, looking better than ever:

Multiclass AI behaviour has undergone some significant improvements. That's all I can say until you can try it for yourself.
