You forgot 11: Forget everything you just learned, go online, start a race on Monza in last place, and crash into at least 12 cars in turn 1.

Ah yes of course, the most important lesson of them all.

Seems a few WEC drivers at Fuji could also benefit from that. Lap2 carnage

it wouldn't make any difference. The only way to stop that type of behaviour is through tough, really tough stewarding and no compromise. The only reason it happens is because there is not enough consequences to put pressure on the offenders to change their behaviour and this is true in all of life.

I may have stopped really playing flat over 15 years ago.

I started with red/cyan glasses. To shutter glasses, to 3D projectors and today in VR.

I would even like to say that I'm already trying to switch to AR. I also use the Quest3 with the BoboV3 Halo Headset BUT without the FaceCover. The screen floats 2-3 cm in front of your eyes and you can look all around out of the glasses. The face is free and the wind simulator can really work.

The special Maggie comes when you have your own real cockpit setup at home illuminated with Ambilight, and maybe even cut into your own cockpit via passthrough. There are very different ways to experience a simulation.

(The whole thing also works with Ambilight but I haven't made a real video with both Ambi & MR together yet)

This is INCREDIBLE. Is this something you found or your system?

As far as i remember GTR2 did have a driving school. A very cool feature i do miss in any other racing title.
When i begun SimRacing i fortunately had a bud doing something like an "online crash course" with me, telling me the basics. Otherwise i would have thrown away Race07 again that i had purchased in a steam sale those days.
I'm still a lousy driver but i do have much fun. And this is the most important!

Minigames are good but I think we also need better more original tools to learn to get faster.

I think a very good tool would be a smart checkpoint system to train the cornering , just imagine a neon box of the size of a car, at the right position, with an arrow ahead indicating the right angle, and you have to hit that with the right angle at the minimum speed allowed.

Those boxes could be put on corner entry and exit. I think it would help a lot.

Things only got better for Alpine in WEC since Reiza annouced the A424, maybe Reiza should annouce the SC63 oficially, to see if Lamborghini get some luck too :D

Peugeot would pay Reiza a fortune if that happened...

I am waiting at LastGarage sim for the same reason I think LFS is still a gem...

While the latter is quite old now it still proves (as Reiza does) that passion can bring to some little big things able to made the difference (as example the working mirrors) in a scenario like simracig where simulation often doesn't match with immersion (or viceversa).

The Last Garage game on the other hand looks like a promising title but with that "old friend" feeling that let me hope will be used as platform for historic content (30 to 90s) and bring some amazing stuff...

Richard Burns Rally had something but more for rally driving. You could argue that Gran Toursimo has its driving tests which is trying to something like that. But agree something like that may help online races. Like crash recovery, ie don’t cut across the track when you’ve just gone off!

Grand Prix had some educational material in the manual. I miss physical manuals. The ones that were like books.

GTR2 has the similar racing school. It actually was challenging to complete. They were more about braking and accelerating, but these ideas would be a welcome addition.

It's a lot of development work for something that probably isn't a sales point for someone who's got any prior experience. Personally, that would be the last thing I'd hoped they'd spend development time on.

That's an awesome idea and set up! What's next, the fully fledged out Somnium VR1?
