In terms of a driving school you can buy adds for MSFS that teach you how to fly. I’m sure a clever person could do something with AI and some intergration into crew chief or an app of their design town. That person would make some money, if it worked across sims

Straight4 gaming was working on AI commentary so it can’t be too far away

 

Maybe if Reiza were able to make some Racing Etiquette or Reiza Driving School type Youtube videos that were linked within the game, people who want to learn and take their racing semi serious could study them.

One of the things I detest in ACC is the game forcing me to drive a track the way they want me to before allowing me to play online as well as the restrictions on how servers work. It means that the online experience gets reduced to playing one track/combo on repeat and makes it difficult to just race all the content with friends.

The idea of having a tutorial to help people is a good one and might do some to help the quality of driving standards (though I'd argue ping often plays a large role in collisions), but I don't even like using the rating system because it has flaws which drive me up the wall.

Games taking themselves too seriously is also a turn off for many people and I remember it taking me years to jump into MP for fear of doing something wrong. I don't want that for AMS2, I want people to jump in and join in, accidents will happen but this is why I come back to a previous point I've made: Give the host the power to kick without needing others to agree.

Serious leagues are almost invariably controlled by other systems, not in game ones and public lobbies should be fun experiences that anyone should feel free to join, so long as their intention is one of respect.

Short version: The idea of tutorials to inform people of good standards is great, that being the first thing you do when you start is good too, but I don't think making AMS2 MP more like ACCSs would be a positive for me.

 

Forgive me for not looking myself, but do you have any info on how to set this up? I have a quest 3 and this looks incredible

 

I have a question: do destroyed circuits, like Jacarepagua, require a license? Some circuits could perhaps be added to AMS 2, such as Valencia Street, Shah Alam (ex-Malaysian track in Moto GP), or Hanoi which was canceled in 2020 and has never returned since.

 

Hasn’t Hanoi had other races recently?

No real release day announced

 

Only a Honda promotional event in 2022 and a Police parade this year.

 

I believe someone (or a company) still has the right to use the name, brand, image, etc. If being out business mean that it's easier to have the license, I have no idea.

Some day update 1.6 will come out and i'll play nothing else for at least a week.

IMO is better to lower down the hype a bit as from what i've understood the update will be divided in 2 or 3 parts. This means that we will NOT get the whole content at once but slowly and in parts (DLCs included).
Also my prediction was almost correct as i still presume that we will get the second dev-note by end of September and the first part of the update around mid-October.
By January 2025 we should have the whole 1.6 completed, means pt1 and pt2 and probably a pt3.

 

When did you hear that?

 

I can say i had the same feeling when they gave us the LMDH and GT3 Gen2 but after a while you get used to it.

 

If i remember correctly they have mentioned this on the last dev-note released last year with the LMDH and GT3 Gen.2. They mentioned that 2024 was a year of hard job and big changes spreaded across the year.

 

The updates will be spread out, but nothing has been said on V1.6 being split into multiple updates

 

That is my POV. I am 90% sure they will not deliver all at once! And that is good for many reasons. As you can control the new content in small bits (developing, bugs etc..) and also have more content to deliver in terms of "marketing". I know Reiza has a different politic about marketing, but this is what i think.
