Automobilista 2 September 2024 Development Update - The Road to V1.6 Pt2

As a beta tester can you tell me if the AI do driver swaps (with each other, not with the human player) so that with IMSA the two AI drivers share one car and do stints,

 

I hope it is a competitor to ACC in regards how GT3 cars drive. To me even the new Gen 2 GT3 in AMS2 are too loose. ACC to me has the best GT3 feel.

 

There's definitely such thing as 'going away' from me!

 

I meant competitor in regards to online racing.
In regards to GT3 AMS2 was never meant to be a competitor to ACC that's specialized in this racing class. Would be a shame for Cunos if AMS2 did it better.

 

In 1.6 are the wonky wheels on the AI cars gone when joining a multi player session with AI present?? This as got to be one of the most annoying bugs, and it's been there since day one. It just spoils the immersion completely.

 

When do you think it will be released? this month yet? next month?

 

Certainly not this month - October at the earliest IMO, but wouldn't be surprised if November.

 

I am not aware of this being fixed in the Beta, don't remember seeing any mention of this in the beta releases and i agree this is one of the worst bugs.

 

I think this only impacts to non-host players.
And I agree, it's a jarring bug!
I'm convinced it makes my driving (even) worse.
Well, I use this bug as an excuse anyway.

I don't know for how long you've been away from ETS2/ATS, but in the last 5 or 6 months it has received HUGE improvements in physics, a truly "game-changing" improvement.
Now we have fully implemented ABS and TC. And that means that if your turn these electronic aids off, depending on how much you press the brakes or the gas you will lock the tires or do a burnout.
There are some hidden race tracks and testing facilities in both games where you can test your skills or challenge friends in Convoy mode.
Also, we now have electric trucks being implemented. You can't buy them yet, but you can drive them on quick jobs.

Just like Automobilista 2, both ETS2/ATS are games that are constantly evolving. Both Reiza and SCS have a very passionate and talented team and I'll always support their products.

 

In facts in 1.6 you can't push like crazy and run soft tires. In certain conditions you have to go to mediums to be competitive in the long run especially

 

AMS2 and ETS2/ATS are the two only things which are running on my PC.

 

I don’t recall any mention of AI to AI driver swaps, but I’m not the guy to confirm that or otherwise. I drive in VR only, with a Quest 2, and rarely run beyond thirty minutes as the headset starts moving around and becomes very uncomfortable. Sorry.

 

Quest 2 user here. Have you tried a different strap? The original one is quite crap. If I understood correctly it is not properly attached to your head.

 

Yep Quest 3 owner here, the stock strap is like a torture device after half an hour. A half decent 3rd party strap makes all the difference.

 

Kiwi Design Comfort Strap is nice and inexpensive (my experience is with the original, not newer K4). Also available for Quest 2 .

 

Can you guys recommend me one? I definitely suffer with the straps in my Quest2
