The fact is that the bases work very differently and if someone claims to set everything to 0 and leave out all the other crap then unfortunately they have no idea or they know nothing about the different systems or they only have experience with a single base. There are base manufacturers that react and interact with simulations to better tune their bases with their own FFB algorithms. Example Simucube2 with the static force reduction or now again with the reconstruction filter V2. Or take logitech and again Simucube2 which now support IRacing 360Hz FFB without latency. Well, these are all huge advantages and sometimes better implemented than any simulation could do. I also think there is no point in talking about FFB in this thread, there are other threads for that

What we need most in Endurance racing is AI-to-AI drivier swaps, otherwise it's unrealistic when the player can have a co-driver but the AI can't.

 

So good news, so far the player can't have a co-driver either

 

Exactly why I said research is needed for each particular wheel or manufacturer just to understand what is "neutral" or base line. This is not the place to go into the myriad details--there are other threads that do that, including the one about custom FFB.
