Do you have one .zip file with all of them anywhere rather than downloading one by one? Thanks. This stuff is really cool!
Nope. Is that even possible? AFAIK the only way to get these downloaded and installed is through the SIM Dashboard app itself. That being said, I have been thinking about compiling a complete list for each and every car with links to their respective dashboard(s). Though I have no idea in what manner I would do that. A dedicated website would be nice instead of having to fit everything into a forum post. Anyone wants to come up with something? And thanks for the kind words! I gotta admit I rarely if ever use the dashboards myself these days, and pretty much only use my ancient tablet whenever I need to create or edit dashboards. Speaking of which, there's quite a lot of stuff I've been cooking up during the current beta cycle. There's definitely going to be a number of new dashboards once 1.6 goes public.
When you update the dashboards, will it be possible to put the remaining number of P2P in Brazilian stock cars?
I haven't checked if there have been any recent changes to what kind of data SIM Dashboard utilizes/has access to in AMS2, but based on how it was in the past this kind of information is not available in the app. So no, I don't think I will be able to add info about the remaining P2P to the stock car dashboards, sorry.
What a shame, this is very important information, the people at sim dashboard should include this possibility, well, who knows if with the 1.6 the lights on the windshield indicating P2P really come, maybe they will add this information, I'll keep my fingers crossed for that.
As far as I am aware, SIM Dashboard is a one-man-project, and I'm not sure how much of a priority further development (in terms of features) of the app is for the dev. I'm content with getting bugfixes and support for new games every now and then even after all those years to be honest - not to mention the fact the minimum requirements haven't been raised in all that time. My old Samsung tablet is still on Android 4.3.something I believe. Speaking of which, I can't wait to find out how long it'll take to upload and share all those new dashboards I've been cooking... If the tablet craps out at every single attempt to upload just a single page, it's gonna take weeks. First we gotta get the 1.6 RC or full release, though.
Hi @XTRMNTR2K I am very new to SIM Dashboard. About to purchase. Do you have anywhere that all your designs are placed for easier downloading, other than going through the pages of this thread? Great looking dashes, BTW. Thanks.
Hey Michael, I'm happy to hear that! Right now I'm afraid the most convenient way to find my designs is through the search function on the official SIM Dashboard community site, but you have to be logged in to use it: https://www.stryder-it.de/simdashboard/designs/?tag=&search=XTRMNTR2K With quite literally hundreds of individual pages I've worked on so far I think it's about time I do something about organizing them. Not sure what's the easiest way, though? Perhaps a file (Excel spreadsheet?) with links and a short description. Tell you what, I'll see if I can whip something together - can't say when I'm done with it, though.
What about just a storage server somewhere and a link to that? Then you just put all your dashes in one location which would be easy for people to get to, and easy for you to store. I'll have a look through your dashes. Thanks.
I'm having trouble with some of the dashes cutting off the RH side. Has a black bar on the RHS where part of the dash should be. eg your older Porsche GT3 works fine but the newer one does not.
Ah, you mean store the dashboards themselves on a different server? I'm afraid that's not possible. Designs can only be edited, uploaded and downloaded through the app itself as there is no export or import function that does not involve the SIM Dashboard community design server. That's one of the limitations compared to SimHub. Unfortunately there have been issues with scaling on different devices for a long time now (as has been reported earlier in this thread). I tried fixing these myself, tried contacting the developer (who had always been helpful and quick to reply in the past), but to no avail it seems... What I recommend is try a scaling mode that minimizes the issues (which used to be the one that scales the design from the center while keeping the aspect ratio) and then manually adjust any widgets that need adjusting. The SIM Dashboard server app (which is browser-based) is great for that - I do almost all of my editing from the PC rather than the tablet itself. As I only have an ancient tablet (not made of stone, though! ) with a low resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:10 my dashboards are specifically tailored to that; while I have tried loading up some designs on an old Samsung Galaxy phone with a different aspect ratio, the results have been hit-and-miss, and I haven't been able to figure out what's causing these scaling issues yet.
Thanks for the reply. I'll just see which ones work. If the dash has more than 1 page, do I have to download all of them separately and swipe sideways?
Yes, that's the way it works. To make switching between pages easier, you can assign hotkeys for "previous page" and "next page" in the SIM Dashboard Server app, iirc. For example, I have mine set to , and . which works well except when I need to type text while the app is running - it gets a bit annoying when the tablet changes pages every time I am manually adding ".0" for things like brake bias in the editor.
