You’re not wrong, like Londrina. Enjoy it much more now I have some chance of getting through its more “creative” sections without random events happening, it’s actually fun.

But even with only 10 cars and 20 tracks, you still have countless grip variables due to live track and weather. So, it's going to be nigh on impossible to manually calibrate AI to be reliably consistent in terms of pace, overtaking & defending at all tracks under all conditions.

I mean if you drastically reduced the amount of content, you might see an incremental improvement in AI, but you really think that AMS2 would be a better game if it had very slightly better AI but only 10 cars, can you?

It depends on how you define a “better game” I guess, it would without doubt have better AI in all conditions, probably much better, and have far fewer glaring issues.

It's doubtful Reiza would survive commercially though by basically going back to Game Stock Car, that was a fair while ago and the sim racing landscape has moved on somewhat and so have Reiza along with it. A Brazilian stock car racing series does not have quite the same ring to it as F1 or any other big racing series. It may well for purists but those are few and far between.

I mean... even LMU struggles, despite ranked multiplayer, holding really nice licenses and supposedly the best physics depending on whose youtube you end up on. Also good AI and not so many cars it becomes unmanageable. Yet it has less players than AMS 2 does, somehow, while it ticks a lot of boxes, it's not taking over the world just yet.

Pretty complicated business... making racing games, it seems :)

Simracing on PC is a niche like lot of hobbies out there

defining a business case and running it profitably is a pain considering the weak potential users base

I guess Iracing took the multiplayer focus path and delivered put then looking at all other sims available, it’s an exception

I know endurance is the focus of Reiza right now, but I really hope that the new 2025 Stock Car Pro cars will eventually find their way into the sim. I also hope that the new tracks of that series will be available some day. And I'd like to have the "old" Stock Cars found in AMS1 in AMS2. The Brazilian cars (Stock Car, P1, P2, etc.) are loads of fun.

Yes, the Stock Car 2025 would be amazing. I also think this should already be in the works or will be soon

I would say that the things holding back LMU isn't it's limited classes (ACC prospers with most using GT3), it's that it is still in early access and therefore has bugs - that means many people don't have the confidence to buy it yet.

Codemasters'AI is not great. It's scripted, there aren't really any surprises. And there are also differences depending on the circuits (even though they only have 25).

For track battles, I prefer AMS2. There are certainly some problems with the blue flags, perhaps lacking a few crashes, especially with the old F1 cars, but it is the one that seems the best to me, with the one from Raceroom which I briefly tried.

Hi everyone . A pleasure to see the end of a long spent for 1.6 . I got a question , AMS seem's to be focus on Endurance , what's the plans for a "pilot swap system" ?

I completely agree! As much as I didn't like it at all on F1 by Codemasters/EA (no sensations in the big curves, and horrible traction), on the mod from PC2 it's very good, undoubtedly the best track mod. The sensations are there, you can fight on the track, the tires overheat in the fast corners. In short, it looks like the COTA we see in real races.

Currently there is only a driver swap between player and an AI Pilot sadly but they are looking into ways to make driver swaps between players possible as well.

I would be surprised if it would make it into the 1.6 release though, at least initially sadly.

Hello Bernd thx to your replies . If AMS 2 take an online "swap system" and LFM , it's the perfect move to catch lot of endurance fans ! Actually we are stuck in RF2 ans LMU seem's to fall in disgrace . AMS 2 can playing a gold card !

I never got on with LMU, and VR looks terrible (almost like playing a game from the 00s, that won’t get better with optimisation). I’ve always preffered AMS2 handling. Even in 1.5 the endurance was more fun.

LMU’s problem is, it could shut shop at any point. So it’s risky to put money into new car and track packs in an unfinished game. Whereas AMS2 could stop at 1.5 and still be a good purchase.

I’m very happy to pay double for these AMS2 DLCs. Knowing it’s more about keeping the game going. I see it as funding further development, rather buying access to the cars.

This list will trigger so many people for so many different reasons. Thats why Reiza cant just delete or ignore existing classes: Everyone has different preferences. I could live without karts and stock cars of any era (but I know a lot of people love it so I would not want it to be removed). On the other hand it surprises me that you could live without F1 ultmiate gen 2! Or F1 V10! And the GT classics! It hurts!

Honestly as an offline racer the AI is already quite solid in my opinion, I've had a lot of nice races and while it is true that they do leave the door open almost always, they also fight back very hard.
It looks like the AI has improved a lot with the update! The lapping now is way more realistic so I can finally race multiclass. And please consider that even in real life people make mistakes while lapping, it can't always be perfect, in the 604 preview it looked fantastic honestly.

Only thing that concerned me in 604's video was GT cars getting out of the race line to let the prototypes pass, which might be a bit awkward for someone used to "regular" endurance behavior.
Still, I almost cried seeing those prototypes getting stuck in and overtaking the GTs easily. Super looking forward to this update.

I did have that concern too, that felt very 'single seater' behaviour. I asked Mike if he could do a video from the slower-class perspective because I have a worry your opponents may compromise themselves a lot.

Just find it strange that an obvious LMP3 car has been put in with P1? Surely LMP3 would make more sence ?
