It has been posted before, that the P1 Ligier is not a LMP3 spec car, since it has ABS and more Power to compete with the other P1 cars. I hope we get a regular LMP3 class, too. That would leave many options for modding liveries (ELMS, Prototype Cup).

I was a little bit disappointed at first to be honest, I hoped for a complete IMSA car field, but the selection of cars is amazing and the pre-nerf LMP2s are so awesome, I‘m excited about them the most. 2nd to that, I‘m looking forward to the Super Trofeo car!

Now I can‘t wait for „1.6 - The Tracks“ where we hopefully get an 2024 spec Nordschleife and also a VLN-Version of the Track
Of course I‘m also excited about the IMSA Track Pack. Zandvort on top would be awesome.

I for one am really looking forward to previews displaying the F1 Classics and some flatspotting, perhaps some humidity trails, and graphical updates. Hopefully one of the anointed Content Creators will offer something like that soon...

Hey Renato. I know we're full IMSA right now but any plans related to any 2025 Stock Car Brasil content?

'P1' is the class it runs in in the Brasil Endurance Series, along with the Ginetta. As mentioned above, it's slightly tweaked from the LMP3 spec and personally I'm happy to see it balanced in a class with other cars rather than on its lonesome in yet another new category.

Hope we get a "proper" standalone LMP3 version some time to race with the GT3 class like in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

The fact that you advise for the removal of GT1 says it all already I would say..

At no point did i say they should just delete what already exists, not sure why someone would be "triggered" by my post when reading between the lines what i meant with it is that if these were the only car classes from the start until today, then i would be fine with it if it meant the AI would be significantly better. I mean people constantly bring up "Too many cars so making AI is hard". But isn't that is a self-inflicted problem then ? I enjoy car variety which AMS2 now has a ton of but i am still hoping that the AI racing in 1.6 will finally deliver what i have been hoping for the last 2 years now.

And believe me making the cut list was no easy task at all because if it was up to me i would just keep stock cars and F1 cars but i know plenty people want the GT and other cars for endurance racing.

I worded my post incorrectly, i do NOT want content to be removed, i wanted to say that if AMS2 started with just those cars then it would have bee a more focused experience and it would have been easier-ish to tweak AI accordingly since that is what people say as an argument all the time - too many cars. Also what is "all" that it says when i crossed out GT1 ? I do not play them at all.

No GT1, Fiat Uno over G40 cup (perfect Mx-5 Cup analog), F-vintage Gen 2 over Gen 1, no F-USA at all, GTE but no DPI, no F-hitech, no vintage touring cars. Many of these admissions are widely considered some of the best cars in AMS 2. I get it's hard keeping it to 10-20 classes, but even then it really doesn't feel like the list was made by someone who actually plays AMS 2. Especially picking the Fiat Uno and any of the Caterhams over every other entry-level car in the game, they're both some of the weakest cars in the whole game in 1.5.

Well now I know what to do if I want to get the AMS2 forums riled up - you wouldn't BELIEVE the classes I would remove.

All I meant to say is that GT1 has been one of the most popular classes used by leagues for racing. Thinking to make a sim better by taking out such class isn't very well thought IMHO. But from a SP only perspective quite obviously seemed to make sense.
Which brings me to the point: AMS2 is not the brainchild of a promoter like SRO joining forces with a developer to give visibility to their races. Therefore thinking that less classes means more quality and success is wishful thinking. Broad audience has always been the target of Reiza to make AMS2 unique. Copying ACC or a similar approach without the support from a promoter isn't going to work

If you played MP you would know it has been one of the most popular classes for league racing in these years.

I'll put my money where my mouth is, here are the classes I'd keep. Gonna cap it at 15.

    G40 Cup
    GT4
    GT3 Gen 2
    LMP 2 (2024 spec)
    LMDh

    Formula Trainer
    Formula 3
    Formula USA 2023
    Formula Ultimate Gen 2

    Stockcar Brazil 2024

    Formula Vintage Gen 1
    Formula Retro Gen 2
    Formula Hi-Tech Gen 2
    GT1
    GT Classic

A lot of the controversial cuts (Group C, F-V10, F-classics, etc) come from there needing to be room for both ladders for sportscars and open wheelers because Reiza plans to add a career mode, leaving only 6 slots for other cars. So my goal is to try to make those 6 car classes left to cast as wide of a net as possible, trying to take advantage of the things that make AMS 2 unique. Ground Effect modeling, all the Hitech gadgets, all while having both vintage open and closed top cars available to race on vintage tracks.

In the end it is all subjective preference, what is "best" and "weakest" for you might not be for me. The list i made was combination of what i see people use online a lot with a mix of what i like. If i was to make an actual list of the only things i drive with or as opponents then my list would be like this.
    20241113092113_1.jpg
I do not care what is "considered best" when i do not enjoy driving other things that much as i do these.

Also to say i do not play AMS2 is rude.

I play MP in leagues for two years now. Most popular where i am racing in were always Group A and GT4 classes.

IMO what makes ams2 special is the variety of classes and tracks so the more the better from my perspective. I love that for example you can replicate the 1993 f1 season and then also the Copa classic 2024 season, you will never get bored! And please do not touch the Copa Uno cause honestly I had tons of fun driving it against the AI, try a 10 lap race in goiania external!!

Therefore you must realize how variety is key since this is not "the official game of..."

I'm sure that's in the works.

Looking forward to those. They should feel very different from the previous years
