I think everyone would agree that the only way the atmosphere here gets back to pleasant and normal would be me receiving access to the beta :)

To be fair, it's a relatively loud minority that have derailed a few threads, IMO a bit of forum moderation might deal with the worst of it.

From my point of view, I've been frustrated occasionally, not with changes to ETAs (I work in digital products and well aware of that possibility) but with sometimes those projections passing without comment (however small).

I like to think my past comments have been fair and respectful though, and certainly none have been made within 4 days of a new update blog (which was subsequently followed by many video previews.....)!

Whilst I've always asked mainly for some transparency in current ETAs for content, because I am grown up enough to know that it's a target not a promise, I am sadly seeing your point more and more towards not giving even windows or targets any more. Don't get me wrong, I want to see them and not having a roadmap is frustrating to me, but I can also see there's a lot of people unable to understand the basic concept of how an 'estimate' or an 'aim' differs from a guarantee, for some reason.

And I'm mostly sad that you had to take the time to write that above post instead of a separate one that formally announces Road Atlanta (GA), [Redacted] (FL) and [Redacted] (ON)!

"breaking it down in parts over the course of the next few days before release time"
"there is plenty more incoming over the next few days to get hearts pumpting so stay tuned!"
    "shouldn´t be a long wait!"
"so I´ll be pushing to have one every month from now until its release to cover all of it."

This is why this happens. This is only a few examples.

Is this the case for the state of Livetrack because it didn't look to be getting much more rubber build up like what maybe it should be? (especially the Sebring video Mike did)

Why put gasoline into the fire? The devs are working hard to give us the update. Just be patient. It's not like 1.5 is unplayable.

Completely, and also the hype over how 1.6 fixes the physics gripes as apparently the critics were right and there was actually something wrong with how cars slipped. It's hard to continue playing after knowing that.

Saying couple of days and have no info is also putting gasoline on fire.

Just a little post saying that more time is needed for exemple nothing for two weeks is clear. And if people are not happy about this now the issue is on the public

I'm probably in a minority but I would have prefered Reiza to work on the 1.6 update in silence, then announce it one week before release to avoid all the BS.

Since September I do wonder if a simple - " Sorry guys it wont be this week" might have been a better way of going about things so everyone and their dog isnt mashing F5 24/7 for months on end.

Well, since the announcement of 1.6 development several months ago I've been following this forum every single day. We came from a healthy hyped community to a bunch of adult men complaining about everything they see on videos, on dev blogs, etc.

I think I'll just stop checking the forum here for a while, the day the update shows up on Steam I'll be happy and I'll buy the new DLC's.

I don't follow the forum on a permanent basis, could someone tell me if I was warned that the recorded times would be deleted again (like last year) and the "U" safety rating would be removed?
Will this happen again in future updates?

I would be grateful to anyone who can inform me.

Canceling time trials is usually done upon the arrival of a big physics update.
Safety rating usually gets restored after the update

Wow. I've said it before, I'll say it again: as a community, we're not ready to get so close access to the dev studio.

It was worth a shot and a great experiment but some people shouldn't be posting here (and I'm not talking about the devs!).

I'm embarrassed to be surrounded by "I'm always right" attitudes, splitting hairs over something that DOESN'T REALLY MATTER, clutching to some inconsistencies in communication.

We've been given a great chance and we're wasting it. Big time...

Aplogies for not reading the full thread. But isn't the Audi the Evo II? And also, didn't I see Sierra Group A in some video somewhere?

Are these the same people who complain about the plot, the story, the details, and everything done 'wrong' whenever a new Star Wars series or movie comes out?! Just wondering...

There's a mod that ports the Group A cars from PC2 into AMS2 which included an Audi 80 and a Sierra, it might have been footage from that

It was probably a mod. There’s a PC2 port of the Group A cars floating around including the Opel and the Quattro.

    Edit: Jinx
