Might be an impossible question to answer for beta testers:

What (sub)category of cars, i.e. open wheel, Vintage, GT classic, modern GT, karts, etc do you think are most improved in 1.6? I'm compiling a comparison list to mark the differences when the update arrives.

Sorry in advance if this question has been answered before.

With the Ligier Jsp320, could we get a separate LMP3 class? This would be great for recreating the European Le Mans Series.

While some are salivating over the update, I'm noticing that we see a German beta tester. We know we have people from Ukraine, Brazil (and collabing w Project Motor Sports) working to deliver a sim racing milestone. From an objective business, non-sim racing perspective, that's some skills. I can't even get people who live a few blocks from me to get together to do things!

People get frustrated because they build themselves expectations. So nothing to be bothered about. But....my wallet is open....when you want i am ready! ;););)

Well, if you have the space, you could make a copy of your steam AMS 2 V1.5 folder, put steam in offline mode, and launch the V1.5 exe from that folder instead of starting via Steam if you want to make a direct comparison at some point in the future.

Probably best to also make a backup of your settings folder in case some things are incompatible between V1.5 and V1.6, so you’d have to switch that also. Bit of a hassle, but it should work in theory. Can’t say I ever tried it with AMS 2 though.

Question about physics in the MabiX video on LMP2/road America he pointed like me the fact that the TC kicks at a fast corner (250 kph) even without any loss of grip. Normal or work can be done to this ?

I think a post like Renato's is exactly what most of us want, it's the not knowing and others building up expectations (which is kind of infectious) that usually leads to hurt feelings and negative post.

Crimson acknowledged a while ago that TC actuation and slip is something they have on their radar, but there is no promised commitment yet, as it needs to be looked at if it needs to and what can be improved.
Also keep in mind that the UI indicator of the TC doesn't actually indicate the activation of the TC but something more abstract if i remember correctly.
You can check it on 1.5 since the TC sound is quite aggressive and you will notice that the UI lights up even though TC doesnt cut power.
It was also something Nils was irritated about the TC in his 1.5. review or something were he drove on the Nurbs GP with the Nissan GT3 or so.

The cars I've driven the most in beta are Porsche Cup 4.0 and Lamborghini Supertrofeo. Both cars are fun to drive. Neither car has tire blankets, so on the outlap it can be tricky on the first few corners, first timed lap they handle ok, generally only from the second timed lap on the tires are up to the proper temperature and I can set good lap times.

So, that's something people should keep in mind whenever update 1.6 is available in the public build, warm up the tires before trying to push the car.

If you check the throttle you can see that it goes down as the TC kicks

But if it ts on radar perfect !

Any word on the ETA of the next blog release?

I'm guessing I have a different interpretation of "next few days" but I figured that would mean at least another blog this week?

Has anybody tried the "indycars", is one of those I am looking to test the most, in the current build they can get slidy which doesn't feel right for an open wheel car, specifically in Road America.

Take this with the usual disclaimer of "pinch of salt", but someone on Overtake (who is not renowned for being an AMS2 "fanboy") stated the following

"Then I tried the 95 Indycar (that behave too oversteery before, with a snap aspect, I didn't like it) and I felt I was playing Indycar Racing again, great car, fantastic update. "

I concur with that statement, for the road versions anyway. I don't do ovals, so I can't comment on that.

Oh I am more hyped now, I really like Indycars and if the come close to anything I have seen during the IRL races this is going to be a great Christmas, college break can't come any faster.
