    Not in this update. And I'd be very surprised to see it in future because Toyota (Lexus) and Honda (Acura)'s licencing people don't seem to have figured out the value in their race cars being driven by virtual users...

    Not to be the party pooper but I wonder what happened to US pt4 and Adrenaline pt2. Have they got lost in the IMSA wash?

    Forget about forces, kg, percentages, sim or real life...

    Just an example to illustrate the tolerance of AMS2 and my point: on a high downforce car doing 250Km/h (assume that's its max speed), you have a given max grip that's way higher than the same car at 120Km/h. That's unquestionable.
    This car can brake much harder at 250Km/h than at 120Km/h. That's a cause-effect, also unquestionable.
    This car must have a braking system capable of maximizing braking capabilities at it's max speed/grip or else it will be loosing time on track. Enginners will unsure that's the case. That's the nature of competition, also unquestionable.

    How can a driver keep car's max breaking pressure from 250Km/h to 120Km/h without locking the brakes?
    That's what happens on AMS2, making breaking fase a breeze when compared to a real car.
    AMS2 seems to have angels looking for us, and I want them to go away :D.

    I would have to go back to test but I don't think that's the case in ams2 vs other sims.
    First it's important to consider braking forces, you say engineers will make sure the car has a braking system capable of maximizing braking capabilities, but we've seen that, specially in non ABS cars, this is not necesarily the case, because if, like you say, you can press the brake pedal in a high downforce car going at 250kmh and keep that pedal press, for le'ts say half a second, it means that the brake force has remained the same going 250 and going 200, which means that in those 50kmh you've lost some braking capabilities, ideally you should be able to reduce braking force in a lineal way at the same time the car loses downforce, but that's unrealistic since drivers are not machines.
    Then in a simulator the braking force has to be determined by the devs, how much bar of presure equals 100% brake pedal in this specific car, and thats going to be a question of preference, in my experience, LMU for example has a fairly touchy brake pedal, you can only keep it pressed 100% for a very little amount of time, in ams2 like you said it's easier to keep it pressed, in iracing you should only reach about 80 to 90%, it depends mostly on what the developers want to achieve with the braking, do they want to give you the possibility of going way overboard with the brakes? or do they want to ensure drivability at any given time? it's a matter of preference, when it comes to realism it will have less to do with brake force and %s and more to do with tyre dynamics, like it ends up being in most cases in simulators.. tyres are 95% of the experience.

    I"ll say braking is one of the most improved aspects of 1.6 physics. No longer can you smash them and be able to rotate the car even with a severe lock, you will either keep going straight or have massive understeer. It's also much easier to modulate and play with them, so trail braking is easier and more intuitive.

    Not sure which movie you have seen, but that is not possible in AMS2. Unlike ACC you can't slam on the brakes to the max all the way to low speed and turn the car in. If you can do that probably there something off in the way you set you brakes hardware or software.
    Currently in AMS2 the best way to stop the car is reduced pressure. Pushing to 100% even at relatively medium/high speed does not make you stop earlier. There is a pretty visible area where you can still brake harder than optimal without locking up but will go long and wide. If you actually brake so much that you lock up you are now miles away from the optimal turn in. You will go very wide.
    At my end in no case you can lock both fronts and turn the car in.

    I like this discussion as my brakes are one area we focus on, In real world the braking pad hydrolic fluid pedal pressure, pedal travel, all customised to suit what the driver likes. So my McLaren brakes will feel different to your McLaren brakes etc (I don't have a McLaren)
    The issue I think sim racing co's have is... Cars = lots and Sim racing equipment = lots
    so designing a perfect Sim for my braking preference on my rig and pedal set up might be easy, but then on yours it feels crappy and vice versa.
    I don't envy them
