    The symbols lighting up doesn't mean that the aid intervenes as stong on low modes like it does on higher modes. It still actuates (what it's supposed to do) but doesn't mean that it actuates as heavily.

    Why are there even these two modes (low/high), is that something that exists in motorsport? I think very few people are even aware that these modes exist and which one needs to be set for authentic settings.

    They don't make much of a difference when using authentic settings, but low is the correct one.

    The low/high method is legacy from Madness titles coming before (but also was set this way in AMS1 for example) which didn't have the 1-10 step adjustments. (In pCars 2 there was a percentage instead on top aswell, it becomes indeed very confusing).

    TL : DR
    Use them at low setting - when car has onboard adjustments, also use them at low setting.

    Would it be a lot of work to hide these modes and simply set them to low instead? The confusion would be cleared up.

    Perhaps not with summer temperatures, but v1.5 already has a large grip amplitude between cold and hot tyres - just try a track with 8ºC and progressive track conditions (instead of 22ºC track temperature with heavy track preset).

    First of all, you're very smart, judging by the fact that you're using FullFFB.:D:D:D (expect a new version soon, back to heavier overall feeling).
    Second, I agree with your concern about tyres... I was also expecting LMDh to have a similar electric power control system to LMH (if that's the real driving scenario... it adds a lot to driver strategy needs) but I have doubts after @Nils Naujoks video.

    I do appreciate your work (perhaps the most informative YTer out there), but no, cars don't have infinite breaking power. As an engineer I know we should not design to "kill flies with a canon". That's just not the reality and would make braking an impossible/very difficult task for no reason at all. No car should be designed to have twice or triple the breaking force it needs to lock the brakes in the worst case scenario. They have a designed max point considering they have a human been behind the wheel and have systems, settings and material adjusted to the purpose.

    I tried to explain - it's not about %, max pressure, others sims, etc. Let's forget them.
    Just within AMS2, I cannot take a beast of a car and brake, full digital pressure (as much as a human can make while driving), for 90% of the braking distance without locking up, after loosing 'all' it's downforce (and you know speed impact on downforce is not linear, it is exponential in nature).

    I will be honest, I haven't managed to understand exactly what your problem with AMS2 braking is, Joaquim. However, I am really enjoying the discussion despite this! Do any other patient observers who understand the two sides of the argument have any desire to explain it to a rube like me?

    I think that was the point I was trying to make but in a poor way. my opinion for the very little its worth car racing/sim racing is all about getting the best from myself and the car in any given condition. In sim racing we also have a simulated environment which is set around the parameters the developer has created to the best of their ability. I just choose the one I feel I gel with the most and offers the best bang for your buck and usually that lands me in a reiza product :D thanks for your feedback its appreciated

    I’m as confused as you are. I think one side is saying that the brake pressure in AMS2 is lower compared to the other and other are trying to explain why that is

    So the problem (that's not a problem) but just a fundamental difference of opinion on how to engineer the perfect mouse trap.
    My car is set up to "slow up" not absolutely stop so to speak, (it will eventually) then we can use the pedals to manipulate the handling of car in a more aggressive manner. Its a driving style preference at my end and the unique way I guess I modulate the brake pedal, the car in the garage next door is probably completely different but we're also taught if theres an accident ahead to spin the car not SLAM the brakes on. I have no issue with your thought process and your views and may take them on board to try and be better in the future you don't know until you try :)

    hello, the sound of the tc or the breaker are much too noisy, I play with a 5.1 and it is not possible to reduce its sound independently of the rest in the game, will it be adjusted in 1.6?

    Cold tires in 1.6 definitely don't have that much grip, but it doesn't take that long to warm them up (depending on the track temp and the track itself of course). Usually you have quite a good grip after one outlap. In LMU it used to be so, that it was sometimes even hard to keep the tires warm enough, but not sure is that the case these days, I haven't driven it in a while.

    As for the Joaqim's custom FFB, I just tried it in beta last week and seemed to work very well with 1.6 too, though I have to say the Default+ is really good there (better than ever) and choosing custom file over the default+ is more about preferring some different flavour now more than ever.

    Yes it would mean some dedicated work, there are reasons why it hasn't been eliminated yet.

    I'd say the biggest problem is that at the end of the day it's just a matter of preference, any sim the developer will have to choose a pressure point where 100% will be, and it has to work for every condition and combination the sim has, chose it too high and braking will feel "touchy", choose it too low and braking will feel numb, even by a little amount of pressure.
    If in a LMDh car you choose your pressure point so that Monza T1 you'll only be able to stomp on the pedal for a very little amount of time until you lock up, you'll make those cars a nightmare to drive in something like Long beach for example, even worse if the track is cold or raining, so there needs to be a middle ground.
    And that's without going into the different set of pedals that the users will have..

    ok, thanks for the answer, I thought there might be a deeper reason why these modes are still there. I just know that these modes have always caused confusion in pCARS2.

    Hopefully this is changed for 1.6 but i dont know. Will have to see if a beta member can tell you that.
    But you can remove the sound if needed, i believe its in audio/ams2/vehicles/drivechain/revlimitertc

    you delete all the text in file you don't want and save it. id advise backing it up.

    I hope one day we will get a French Tracks Pack because there are too many amazing ones that also have historical significance.
