I have trouble to decide if the lambo dlc will be worth it for me, because I am only interested in two of them. I likely will not care to give Reiza the money anyway. Would you just buy, even if there is “dead” content?

 

Yup, similar to the Porsche packs in Assetto Corsa and Macan etc. It's just a digital dust gatherer, but the rest are worth it.

 

The Lamborghini one is the one I'll consider - probably not a problem to go for it but the 'price per car of interest' is slightly higher, but still not bad at all. Assuming there's a few days to use the new content for free (and I'm around if/when it happens) then I'm interested in trying to find the Super Trofeo a partner or two to race against, maybe the Porsche cup car or something similar.

Ultimately the lure of the SC63 and the V10 in the GT3 will likely get me, I'm sure Reiza's will get here before the MiniGT diecast version gets released anyway...

 

The Super Trofeo is a great car as well tbh

 

I’d say pace-wise the ST is closer to the Gen1 GT3 class currently than the Porsche Cup, but that might have changed on release.

It’s a lot of fun to drive, a bit more playful than the average GT3.

 

The sound of the Huracán GT3 alone will be worth the money.

Yes indeed. I like it much more than the PCup for a single make series. The AMS2 ST feels great to me. Hopefully we get some LFM MP series with that car

 

I continue to have hope that this week is the week given that there was another staging test on the non-beta today. History shows release candidates and public depots aren't far behind staging tests.

I also would have a hard time believing Reiza would wipe time trials several weeks ahead of release. Having been part of digital product launches in the past, that definitely feels like a late-stage part of the process.

I don't doubt it, but just with my limited sim time I get much more immersed in big fields with lots of different sights and sounds in, hence I'm really grateful when Reiza expand a class to five GTPs, seven GT3s or nine seven GT4s

 

Yeah it's tough one... obviously I am biased but I say try out the Veneno and Super Trofeo during the free period and then go from there. I think one (or both) of these could end up being a pleasant surprise!

 

Sorry to ask again:
Shall we set "driving assists allowed" to "full" and then ABS and TC to "low"?
Or is it okay to set it to "authentic" and deal with the electronics in the setup menu and while driving?

iRacing cars cost around 12€/$ per car so even of you are just interested in 2 of 4 cars, 5€/$ per car sounds fair to me. And maybe you will even enjoy all 4 of them!

 

Authentic and then Low

 

Okay thank you. That means TC at 1 till 3 in the car/setup?
Because in the option menu I can't set it to low. Sorry that I am so confused.

 

I am exactly like you and I think I have already decided to buy it anyway. I started playing AMS2 without DLCs and I loved it so much that I bought every DLC once they were on sale (I've never done something like it before in a game with so many DLCs), even though many things didn't interest me at all like Oval for example. This turned out to be a great decision, I now ****ing love ovals. Whenever I try something in AMS2 that I don't find too interesting, I end up having a great time (the only problem is my limited free time to really squeeze everything from the game). So yeah, I am pressing the button as soon as it is there

 

Set to authentic in the menu and set TC and ABS on/off to T and A respectively in the button assignment. This has nothing to do with TC up/down or ABS up/down. If you are now sitting in the car, you can switch through TC or ABS (low/high/off) with button T and button A. now set TC and ABS to low, then it fits

 

I will never understand this, no matter how many times it's explained. I set mine to authentic and don't understand why I should have to change any other setting other than 1-10. That Low/High stuff just makes no sense to me if in Authentic.

There is no corner in all of AMS 2 that I have fallen off of more than Road Atlanta T1.

I've been using that track to test colder weather performance in 1.6. The goal is that all cars will behave authentically in colder and hotter than optimal temps. Not all are perfect yet, but for those who care about this issue, the devs have done a ton of work to move everything many steps forward for this next huge update.
