Featured Automobilista 2 V1.6 Development Update - The New Cars

I hope the prototypes that are already in the game are not forgotten. From p1 to P4 an DPI all feel great

 

i don't understand why people disagree with my opinion. I mean...either the guy is using medium settings or i am blind to don't see this big overhaul on the graphic.
Still, i need to play the new update at night as the headlight of the cars are a bit "weird", specially when the light bounce back. IMO Pure from AC it's a school for that.

 

The last youtube video i put up, i was driving in Dirt rally 2 VR and my thumbnail was a squirl eating a nut

Wow I just tried the DPi class for the very first time after reading this post and what can I say - they feel amazing in 1.5! Stable and connected to the road while also being very agile and just fun to drive. Tbh thats how I imagine the 1.6 handling. So I can just recommend to anyone who is scrolling through this forum hoping for a dev update: Jump in your rig and try something new before 1.6 arrives!

(But not the Corvette street car! I tried that for the first time too and it was the worst expirience of my life but maybe I'm just a bad driver)

 

The DPi is my favourite car on AMS2, I also recommend everybody to try it.

 

It isn't just you! Roadcars in AMS 2 have consistently been among the weaker aspects of the sim. Don't want to make any promises about how good they will be in 1.6, what I can say is that I enjoy them a fair bit more!

 

I found a 1.6 livestream that is to debut on the 13th of December.

His comment says he put it as this date for no real reason hes expecting to go live much earlier, as soon as it releases

 

Why didn't I try this before? What a car! Just thinking about driving it on Road Atlanta...

 

Probably to give himself some room, could be way earlier, could be close to the date he set, just a safe way to prepare everything beforehand.

 

All the more reason for it to be released soon!

 

I think I made a video with that as the best OOB car in the game... They're very good

 

Sorry for my ignorance but what does OOB mean?

 

It’s the beauty of simulations, because I can’t imagine many people who actually own a McLaren F1 thinking: “Right, today I’m going to take my priceless car around Oulton Park for a few laps because it’s a really challenging track and I’m gonna drive it right on the limit, for extra danger!”

But we can Did it earlier, it was quite fun and compared to before the car made much more sense, while still being properly hair-raising but never completely uncontrollable. Which is more than can be said for some previous iterations.
