One the admins just chimed in that it's not a scheduled stream... So it's up in the air when it starts.

 

Apologies for the false alarm, that wasn't my intention. Honestly, the PR for this update is something else!

 

The joke going around is that MSFS2024 crashed on take off.

 

Just compared SimRacing604's stream from 7 days ago to the current gg Overtake live stream and there are some real differences. Lots of branding changes, different trackside details and completely different trees and building models in some places. I wonder how old Mike's version was?

I agree that "soon" can pretty much mean anything from days to years but "a few days" is most definitely a measurable amount of time, for most its 3=5 days you could even argue for 6 days, but once you get to 7 then that's a week and 14 or more would be weeks.

That being said, things change and that's fine but if Reiza say a few days, when they realise that isn't going to happen a small post saying " unfortunately our expectations were too optimistic things are going to take longer, we will give a clearer view of things in a months time"

It was great last week when there was a lot of excitement that the update would drop that weekend that Renato stepped in and clearly stated that it wasn't going to happen.

A little communication goes a long way.

 

Soon does not mean "when its ready", thats all there is to say. and a few days is also measurable, cause 100 is not a few, but rather 5-7 days.

 

I couldn't agree with you more.
Nobody here is demanding or complaining about things not coming out soon, what we are complaining about is that they say that in the next few days, and that no matter what people say, it is not a week.
The only thing we ask for is a small message that could be a small edit in this same forum saying something like, we are sorry to inform all of you that it will not be possible in a few days, we are working as hard as possible to make it happen as soon as possible, but we cannot give a specific date. And everyone would be happy.

 

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking like this! I don't enjoy adding to the general frustration/negativity/repetitive comments, but the communication definitely needs to be better with time estimates. I would've rather had a longer dev blog instead of waiting over a week.

They've just done a v1.6 stream on Twitch. It was supposed to be on youtube but that didn't go ahead.

Hahaha. Sorry it was LMU, no wonder it looked different, they had it down originally as an AMS2 stream on youtube, then moved over to Twitch. How embarrasing!!!! It's all Renato's fault, I've gone delerious waiting for 1.6

LOL.. Such an embarrassment of an organization. Two epic fails out of two attempts. And they are supposed to be (semi?)professional...
Honestly if I was Reiza I would ask them to leave it alone.
They are supposed to showcase the biggest update of the game and they have managed to show the worst stream ever of it and to collect all of the people interested in AMS2 and advertise a competitor product. Speechless..
