To be fair it was my mostly my fault. I saw a post on Reddit and jumped onto YouTube. On YouTube they had an AMS2 stream scheduled for 12:30 but it never started, then someone in the chat said it was on Twitch so I hopped over there to see Yannick bombing round Sebring and somehow completely failed to notice it was LMU.

Please explain to me like I'm 5, why it's not a problem that it's delayed and why the vague estimates from Reiza are treated with such detailed accuracy?

I'll be honest, I don't see a problem when a vague timescales of an internal aim are mentioned (it's not even a commitment of any sort) and not met. Especially where those weren't met historically either. I won't expect the sky turn green and end up beind disappointed if it hasn't turned green yet (and I'm not talking about the Northern lights here).

Please help me understand your point of view. Honest question.

You PAID a company to be their beta tester. No explanation would make you understand because you absolutely cannot stop smooching their ass.

Voice of an expert I see

And I paid extra to help them financially and get all DLCs upfront. But hey, what so I know about my reasons...

Even with that, basically they advertised everywhere an AMS2 stream, so basically they called the people that was interested in AMS2 just to showcase another product... If I was Reiza I would not be particularly happy, though it probably isn't shifting this much the intentions to buy... Still not really very respectful from Overtake

You couldn't be more wrong. I for one bought it as if it was a season pass. 99 bucks and I get everything that will ever come out for AMS2. I haven't had the beta installed in over a month. Sad you had to resort to insults, but that says more about you than anything else.

You obviously understood nothing of the story.
Guys paid Reiza to have the full content going forward, period. And they got a good price too as obviously separate DLCs will cost more.
As a bonus they get invited to the Beta side of things to have more influence in the direction things go.
That's the deal. If you still have not understood it by this time then it's on you honestly.

You might want to get your facts right before posting anything, but since i'm such a nice guy, here you have a bit more info:
Automobilista 2 Paddock Club - What it is and How to become a Member

    your welcome! :D

    Edit:

i hope you are also aware that probably because of the paddock club members, Reiza had the funds to acquire for example the IMSA license, and other licenses, which you and others can also benefit from!

    For me it's simple.
It consists of being consistent with what you say, and maintaining a truthful narrative.
Because there are 2 options in my view. Either they really expected to release more information in a few days and have encountered problems, there's nothing wrong with notifying the people who have paid them and are waiting for their update to give some feedback on what's happening. Or the other option is that they have simply put in a few days to put something up.
In both cases, who tells me then that when they announce a BIG IMPROVEMENT in physics it's not an insignificant improvement? These are immeasurable and very subjective values.
It simply represents an intention for your followers/consumers/clients, that posting a message on the forum doesn't cost you anything and even more so when you've generated so much hype regarding an update.
I think we have accepted too much of being lied to or not being given what is promised by video game companies, but I am sure that if any of us tells our boss that we are finishing a job in the next few days, after a week he will ask us for explanations.
Maybe my way of seeing things it's archaic in, but I think it's a way of respecting your consumers.

Yes, and when the extremely small proportion of beta owners who actually provide any useful feedback have their messages drowned among endless blather about various distractions and complaints, even that small amount of useful feedback can get lost. Threads like this one are even worse, where instead of discussing the dev update contents or details, it's half about estimates and dates and promises and communications.

No one will suggest that Reiza follows traditional corporate release schedules (like MSFT or EA WRC or LMU or...need I go on?), nor do they have a professional promotions or communications staff. Yet, we find out more about what's going on behind the scenes than in any other sim racing title I own (and I have most of them). But that's not good enough as apparently people prefer scheduled releases regardless of whether they are ready or not. Hmmm, maybe there is a reason we see 90% of titles released these days with massive problems clearly caused by premature publication. I guess we get what we deserve, including the likelihood that Reiza will simply communicate much less going forward. It won't change their internal work plan one iota, but less time will be wasted dealing with "noise" from the community.

From those who are real sim-heads and enjoy participating in some of the back room details involved in a unique journey to build the most hard core "consumer" race sim, to those who can't stop whinging that this little indie dev needs to behave like a multi-national money-grubbing corporation, thanks for spoiling the party.

They are not internal. The estimates keep being put into public, as in published on steam library page of every owner of the game, so it's not true thay they are just "internal" and loose, when they are throwed into public.

Wasn't expecting so much cope and salt from the beta crowd even though I specifically targeted the condescending guy

I usually don't mind stupid ass toddler comments, but it's my ****in money and if I have expendable income to spend in whatever the hell I want, I do it. Even more so when it's one of my favorite games in my favorite hobby. Being a beta tester is a perk on top of having all DLC past and present.

We have a whole section, but it’s basically only for feedback. So either we make Renato and Reiza angry for not reporting stuff or making them angry for chatting here with people who might have lost their minds. Pick your poison
