Oh trust me I do completely understand the frustration, I'm frustrated too because I do genuinely want all this silly discourse to stop and want you guys to be able to get your hands on 1.6 and I know I'm not the only PC member who feels this way. And thankfully, the staging tests for the main release is a really good sign of the waiting not being much longer.

    Please stop it.

There are enough people who play AMS 2 without visiting this forum. And I don't think that these people are awaiting the new update so impatiently (not in a bad way, English is not my first language) like many non-beta-testers here in this forum. These people just don't care for the news. Many of them might be like my dad: He doesn't care for announcements or previews of his games. He always knows that there has been an update when his games are being updated. And then he enjoys the new things to discover. As simple as that.

So please let it be. 1.6 will be released when it will be ready to be released.

And why Reiza keeps more or less silent may be because they are working their asses off right now to get everything in place. It takes time to right posts in tje forum and I think this precious time is spent more wisely on working on the update.

Edit: Got brutally ninja'd by Crimson.

Well, the new UI first and foremost as it's the first thing you see - but the physics, as so many have pointed out already, have progressed really well, and I think a lot of folks will be pleased with that. Apart from that, I always love a good sound engine, and those V10 F1 cars flying by sound really, really good now :)

I think reading through the thread it's obvious that almost no one is really put off by the delay - it's just a lot of us getting our hopes up because of misinterpretations and miscommunication. There's something to be said about both sides and the way this community communicates with the devs and vice versa but I think we could all stand to strive to do better in better faith.

Anyway I'm looking forward to finally simulating modern Indycars at Road Atlanta in an official capacity with actual flag rules and competent AI. I wish the series would race there IRL but I also don't want anyone to eat a concrete barrier at those speeds in those cars. Would any beta testers have any insight on the Formula USA 2023 tires and how fast they melt in 1.6?

I'll add in, if you need setting help at any time (yt or twitch) feel free to drop me a DM here or discord as after many hours of trial and error I have this bit sussed.

But for everyone, 1.6 should be enjoyed by all, your patience will be rewarded. :)

    +1.
Actually I was amazed to look at how many average people AMS2 is clocking currently even before v1.6 is released vs some of its most recent competitors.
It's quite promising to see waiting for the update and the MP service providers to really kick in with it.

So with the new Lambos and Audis, we can replicate the entire British GT championship, and as I have mentioned elsewhere we will be able to do the entire Europe Super Trofeo and almosta ll (all but one) tracks in Super Trofeo USA. Does anyone have any other perhaps interesting championships that are (almost) completely replicable in AMS2? I know it is amazing for MANY years of Formula 1 championships, but i'm curious about more obscure examples... Any ideas? (this is me trying to help things be more interesting again)

No worries Yannik. Serves me right for trying to have a sneaky watch whilst at work. Kept me entertained for a while. I thought to myself no wonder its been delayed with all the changes they've been making!!

The all-time-peak of players for AMS2 is 2.559 at the moment. Cant wait to see the number after 1.6 releases.

The Copa classes are as obscure as you can get if you are not Brazilian, as well as the Copa Trucks and obviously the Stock Cars. You can also sort of do some late 90's Indy car championships as well. There a lot of options that you can do, maybe not 1-1 but very close.
