This comment is the one that made me laugh the most on this forum.

I have also heard from insiders that the main improvement to the showroom is that the cars point the opposite direction. This is compensated by also rotating the building and the camera locations equivalently.

But there is no release date for the 'update, because I don't know whether to pay for PlayStation plus however after that I don't have all the money for DLC or wait, however I don't want to wait until Christmas or next year...

 

Usually Reiza release the update with all the contents for free for 1 week...then you the take off the DLC and yo ucan decide to buy them or not. At least you can try the whole content before. But the update should be around the corner. So i would say 1-2 weeks

 

It's usually free for 2-3 days.

 

The steam sale is right around the corner, so it's a perfect time to get a lot of new users into the sim by releasing the update along the sale. Get the game cheap, try the DLC and those who like them should buy the DLC at a regular or a lower 10-15% discount.

On the topic of current cars, there are many that have outdated "_dist.xml" files that do not mention custom helmets and suits are supported, nor does the AMS2 - User Livery Overrides section. So far i tested working helmets and suits for:
Stock Car 2021, SuperV8, Copa Truck, Lotus 23, Copa Uno.

 

Stop it with the common sense and logic around this place, we all know that update can only be released in a perfect state since we still live in 2004 and updates come on CDs

 

So, given that I am that kind of person... did someone on the beta club got to try spectate the AI? I usually get a kick out of that in games, but I never found a game that scratches that itch well on racing sims... How does the AI fare in 1.6?
I also remember months ago there was talk of letting your AI second driver to start the race or switch, is it a thing in 1.6?

 

So as a distraction to the patient wait (I'm just about at my limit) for V1.6 I just bought Warhammer 40k Space Marine on GOG.com to experience it for the first time before I play the new one.

How is everyone else coping?

 

Has anyone tried RX against the AI in 1.6? How does that compare against 1.5? I totally destroyed 110% AI with medium aggression, and I haven't driven those cars before.

 

An offline player swapping drivers with an AI has been a thing since release. You can set it up in the in-car menu (the one where you change tyres, refueling etc.) before a pit stop. The things that are not supported are:
- AI driver starting the race in the player's car.
- AI driver swapping with AI driver.
- Multiplayer driver swaps.

I played it from the beginning because it reminds me a lot of Gears of War.
It was my entry into the world of video games, I had never gotten into that before...

 

I started diving back into vr gaming (into the radius 2) and i enjoy the heck out of it.
