I was referring to the numbers just now and I should have included that information in my post to avoid any confusion.

The big thing that hangs me up is that there nothing to be said that hasn't already been said and it will keep being said until Crimson pops back in. Then it stops for a few days, and as soon as news stops coming out the whole song and dance starts back up again. All while we get nowhere because the only thing that will truly stop this discourse is the release of 1.6 which isn't in our hands. Unless Reiza and content creators drip-feeds news and info every day in between now and 1.6, this discourse will happen. That doesn't mean that the critism isn't valid, just that there isn't anything being added to it.

It does also feel like that the choices as someone who doesn't 100% agree with the takes on Reiza's communications are either ignore the discourse and watch this place slowly turn into the "complaints about communication thread" or try to push back against the claims being made and risk starting an argument. Neither of which I'm a huge fan of as one ruins the purpose of the thread and the other runs the risk of increasing animosity and making this place more toxic. Neither of which I like very much and I would love for there to be an "option C" where people can vent about their complaints without flooding this thread with them.

Well said! At the end of the day, we can only wait and make the best of it—let's just enjoy what we can in the meantime.

That is a somewhat unfair comparison, partly because of AMS2 having a local bias towards Brazil, which are in a different timezone, leading to a more spread out peak player number, and especially because R3E is currently completely free to play. It's like dishing out free ice cream next to an ice cream store and then comparing who has had more customers at the end of the day.

That said, R3E has had a notable turnaround in player numbers also due to their recent updates. However, that was preceded by a long period of dwindling player numbers and very sporadic updates.

Considering the AMS2 dev's erratic communication and long time without update, I think AMS2's player numbers are surprisingly resilient and actually one of the biggest arguments that communication doesn't matter too much in the grand scheme of things.

I fail to see the value in reading the same "opinion" over and over again.

Oh and, yes, I've blocked you now. The part of choosing. I've seen enough about you recently. All part of free choice.

All of RaceRooms content is free right now. Its not an indication of change in RaceRooms development. Its an indication of a free period.

Partially agree. It got me to try raceroom again. Have played it a lot the last couple of days - and bought the classic dtm cars and tracks. It's genuinely a good fun game. I hope that the old touring cars are just as good as the dtm stuff.

Absolutely! I think the best way to describe why me and other PC member get so frustrated with this discourse is imagine if every time you had a F1 watch party there was a group of people constantly criticized a particular driver, even if they made a small and understandable mistake. Said driver may do plenty of things on track to warrent the critism, but eventually some folks who aren't in that group are gonna get annoyed by it either because of how constant and relentless said critism is

I think the main reason is because we get to look at the other side of the counter. We far more directly see them work their asses off (instead of just reading "stagingtest" somewhere), and we've also seen what is at this point a somewhat complete picture of the product it's gonna be at the end of the journey.

Can I understand people being frustrated by teasing that just keeps refusing to pay off in any way by now? For sure. Can I understand them feeling like an overstretched guitar site by now? Oh yeah. But because I know what's coming, the negativity surrounding the running up to release at this point still doesn't feel warranted.

That I think is the reason why some few non-beta testers feel it's deserved to call out paddock club members for ass-kissing, while those don't really know where that accusation comes from. It's just different levels of insight.

I know that, if I wasn't in paddock club, I'd be very much on the top of the fence on the other side right now.

I was thinking this too since it's a vehicle class from the original game not currently in AMS2. Would be nice if they added ramps to say a stadium truck variant of the stages like Long Beach which has had races there.

They are in the files, have been for a while along with a SST layout for Long Beach and Adelaide so I'm super optimistic about them appearing in the game!

I'm also not a fan of Raceroom's current pricing structure and how it's developed over the past year or so, but I wouldn't call AMS 2 a bargain in comparison.
If starting from scratch, then the all-inclusive bundle comes to a price of €140.78 which I believe is slightly more than the regular amount asked for the RR premium pack after its recent price hike.
That's without taking into account the standard price cut when using KW's vRP 'currency'.
According to the wiki, AMS 2 currently contains 59 track with a total of 189 layouts and 210 cars.
Raceroom's premium pack lists 60 tracks with 142 layouts and 241 cars.
I'd say that's about even where quantity is concerned.

Cringe face and an arrow in the thumbnail ? Best combo. Also he speaks german which i doubt is the majority spoken language here so just watching some dude drive around without understanding anything is a waste of time.

And for perspective so that everyone knows: devs are at work right now as someone is complaining. It's Saturday, most of us will be spending quality time with family while they are compiling and testing possible RCs. That is entirely out of passion for simracing exactly the same passion everyone here say they have.
I strongly believe we should show some respect/appreciation. At least I do.

Not sure what would fit besides Stadium Supertrucks. I think drift would be a waste of time, or just use 1.5 physics for those cars and call it "drift" :p. (i am just joking, in case it needs to be explained)

Well damn fellas, I was hoping I’d wake up to a fun little Reiza update (dev post or literal 1.6 update) this morning. Bummer!

I know this isn’t a raceroom forum, but I guess that’ll be my weekend entertainment this week . DTM 2024 and DTM 1995!

The pricing model of RRRE does suck, but you definitely don’t need to buy EVERYTHING they offer to play. It’s not as good if a value as AMS2, but very worth a play and the physics and sounds are great.

I think it’s probably time to step back and stop the hourly refresh of these forums for me lol.
