When i installed custom FFB rFuktor 5013 it has given me the BEST FFB of any game on the market, even better than RRE. Driving with a T300RS GT.

Sort of like an open beta for everyone

Reiza nominates a candidate for the best sim and the whole of Brazil votes for it. If the candidate wins, it's elected top sim and it gets released. Unless there is a recount, in that case the release can be pushed by 1-3 months.

More like a "genuine, feature-complete candidate for public release, but remains to be checked for remaining niggles and other clean-up tasks". Whether it's public is Reiza's decision.

it doesn't mean an open beta for everyone, be careful with using that, cause there will be people here thinking there will be a public RC, which isn't known if it will happen or not.

He asked what an RC is. RCs exist in the public version of AMS2

There are public release candidates and there are non-public ones - the ones Renato is referring to are non-public betas that are provided to prove the stability for a public release.

That should clear up the confusion.

Or if the winning sim is not to your liking you fiddle the counting and then ban the best sim from re-entering for 8 years.

Your just adding to the confusion TBH, as there isn't a public 1.6 RC

I can say with certainty the Copa Trucks fit in the hairpin, so there's no reason a LMDh wouldn't :p ss232034.jpg

Then I'll delete. I thought by saying "when available" it would help. You might want to delete the quote. Appreciate the input.

I think Copa Truck at Monaco is basically just like, a missing ETS2 DLC.

For context, I use a Simagic Ultra, set between 8-18 nm depending on car. I use the V6000 Extreme ffb. What I love about AMS2 is how the wheel dances in my hands as the car feels its way over undulations with that setting. Other custom ffbs give similar sensations.
From the beginning with AMS2, I've loved how I can feel what all four wheels are doing. I don't get that feeling in RRE. I also don't like that you can't fine tune ffb with custom profiles. Danielkart etal have created profiles for just about every wheelbase out there. And there's a switcher so you can try a few without all the confusion. You get what you get with RRE.
I've all felt it numb when I had a G25 (yeah, that long ago), with my CSW2.5 and now with the Ultra.
I would like to have another sim racing title to enjoy beside AMS2. RF2 is too fiddly to get going; ACC just never feels right for me. PC2 is okay, but when I play I'm always comparing it to AMS2; and its graphix look dated now.
RRE still takes forever to load. What's up with that?! And its forums are dead.

    Off-topicish rant over.

All of them have some things superior to AMS 2, but in total, I find AMS 2 gives the most authentic feeling of driving a race car, especially on the edge of grip (which is where we spend a lot of time if on a race track). I like the communicative nature of the Default+ FFB and mostly I like Reiza's determination to squeeze the most realism out of the tools and materials they are working with. AMS was by far the most authentic sim based on the old rFactor engine and still has features that even rF2 today does not have. They want AMS 2 to be the same.

I am fully satisfied that AMS 2 1.6, finally, has hit the sweet spot for physics and now more attention can be paid to the long list of non-physics improvements the team wants to implement. Several of those are already in 1.6, but many more to come in the future. If we keep getting lots of new tracks and cars along the way, too, I don't need to spend any serious time with other sims. And, there may even be a new chapter with multiplayer services that will turn out to be successful if the team has managed to improve the underlying net code as planned.

As for other titles, ACE may be something that works well (thank goodness the platform from ACC has been dropped), but I suspect it will be complementary to AMS 2 rather than a direct competitor.

Exactly that! Imagine driving real car, most of the vibrations on the wheel you can get are when you are driving in high gear with slow speed. How many times in a sim you feel the same vibration when you press gas pedal (not in high rpm)? Many of these effects are present in sim titles and people think that ffb is realistic, maybe it is but with many canned effects that you want feel in in real car. That's where RRE does the job, you get what is really happening below the car.
Btw I use OSW base and as I said maybe it's wheel base setup that causing wrong perception of the ffb and what car is doing.
Sorry for off topic post again...
