I seem to remember a beta tester saying they were recommended to use Default+ while testing. Would that be correct?

 

I can’t recall any requirements for FFB, but you need to use Reiza’s FFB to make reports on FFB

 

Default and Default+ have been great on their own for a couple of years now. I had to make my own custom FFB that cuts down clipping when I play something like Long Beach, but those are the only modified variables I have.

 

They are not getting my money after i played for just an hour yesterday and wrote my review:
"11 years since release and the AI is still garbage, as bad as AC 2014. Not interested in doing racing against moving chicanes. Good physics be damned."

 

Use what you prefer, they're both great. If you don't like either go for custom

I could put this another way. What FFB setting do the devs use while testing?

 

AFAIK there isn't a specific one, they configure both presets to work correctly, so if you find anything in either Reiza's ffb thats not ok you should report it. If they're offering 2 options, it's pretty clear they will try to get both options right.

 

I guess both RRE and AMS2 fulfill a purpose of bringing less known tracks and vehicles to the players.
Timo **** has been posting videos racing a DTM championship in RRE and I've become interested since then.

 

Thanks for answer. Not quite related but I think in the future I'd like to see only 2 options. Default and Custom. A new default being somewhere between existing default and default + just to simplify. Thanks

 

Is it because they're heavy or because they have ABS? Or both?

 

For v1.6 I believe it’s Default+ you should try to use and get used to before adopting any custom file settings
