Automobilista 2 V1.6 Development Update - The New Cars

Right. What makes you think it'll be out this week then?? Kind of confused on that expectation when nothing has been said.

 

My thoughts about the update release - it will be out when it is done, no need to dwell on it any further, best to keep yourself occupied with other things until then, and then get surprised.

 

There was this comment by Renato from (EDIT) *Saturday last week.

I know that comment was made, but that doesn't outright say, "We'll have the update out by the end of next week." Just that he's wrapping up the info - assuming dev blog - and that a 4th RC is being worked on.
Maybe it's something with the phrase "throwing your proverbial cards into the proverbial hat" because I've genuinely never heard that before, but I'm tempering my expectation of a release this week considering how the last (specified) time estimates have gone.

 

I don't understand. I'm using a 4090/7800X3D with Varjo Aero - so our hardware is pretty identical.
Are you using OpenXR or SteamVR? Do you know what resolution you are running it at? When you say muddy it makes me think your running lower res.

 

@CrimsonEminence since the last message of Renato can you confirm us that you faced all issue and no extra delay is planned ?

For triples it works just fine without surround , so no stress about that, it only becomes a problem when a 4th monitor is introduced without surround.

 

no full resolution, and many other have agree with me. Compared to AMS2 is not as detailed. As said before resolution isn’t the issue. Best way to explain it, it looks like anisotropic filtering is low. That’s what I mean by muddy. Hence my comment that it looks like playing a dated game

 

It would be funny if the update came out on Friday the 13th.

If that happened people would have to race in the green hell at night in thunderstorm to celebrate.

Given all the recent ‘issues’ with comms for Renato to make that comment and not have people expect the release to be this weekend would be a bit of a stretch. Renato didn’t really need to say anything last weekend it was the weekend before where the hype for release had been boiling over, last weekend was back to the normal level simmering anticipation.

 

I'm so tired of F5-ing this forum. I'm pretty fed up with Reiza in all honesty. So much energy has been burned, sick of cryptic messages that now I no longer care if the release ever comes.
