Sparks now are sparks in VR. And rain stays outside closed cockpits. Two VR graphics really game changers. Great job.

Some collisions now make cars go to space. Need a look.

I’ve run some big grids which is fantastic and much needed , I have noticed in custom championship I can’t set a grid size of more than 31 no matter what track and how many classes I use. Works fine for single race but not championships for me.

 

Well....just awesome. Very, very good update, I am very impressed.

 

Excellent work Reiza, I need a few months to actually try everything. The most important thing for me was the driving feel and that is superb. The Ultima road car at Nords had me smiling from ear to ear, every bump felt, every skip of a tire even the mere hint of the loss of grip translated perfectly. The braking and accelerating also feel so much more responsive, finally I feel like I am dancing with the car. The new GT classic corvette, although I didn't get much time with it, is also awesome.

 

Overall really nice update. The difference in handing feeling is wonderful. Well done guys!

Only issue i had were load times to track and load times back to lobby are much longer than pre -patch and at one race on Spa with Gtp class my frame rate suddenly dropped from 120 to 50 after a few laps, then suddenly to 20. Had to quit out and reload and was ok again and didn't notice it happen again after that. I assume the load time will me optimised again though ‍

The lamborghini super trofeo evo 2 is my new favourite. Awesome car. Thanks Reiza for the hard work.

 

There are no words to describe the beauty of this update.
It's a totally different simulator.
The FFB has improved a lot, focusing on sensations, on details.
Personally, I can now hold the steering wheel with less force and feel the movements of the car and the resistance of the wheels on the track in curves much better.
It's all very natural.
And this is a great quality.
Now you can really feel the track and the sliding of the car is just a memory.
There are so many things to try and enjoy that just tonight is not enough.
With AMS2 we have everything that satisfies every virtual driver.
Now rest and enjoy the satisfaction for what you have done.

If my new-found interest in driving Supercars and Hypercars in AMS2 is any indication, then V1.6 is, by definition, game changing (for me, at least). The McLaren F1 LM is a tremendous, never-ending joy to overdrive on a guiltess track day devoid of financial repercussions!

For people who were running with Customs FFB, what's your take for now? Stay with Reiza Default or default+, or stick to the Customs file prior this update yet showing an improvement?

 

Luckily I didn't have to change anything in the custom FFB (I have a Logitech G27).
And the FFB is much improved!
More sensitive and rich in details.
I was afraid of having to reconfigure everything and instead, thanks to REIZA, the FFB has improved in every aspect, without being distorted.

Been using Custom FFB and still using with 1.6, fits perfectly.

Fantastic update!

The LMDh cars are actually drivable and the LMP2s are amazing. Had a lot of fun in GT4 as well. The new IMSA tracks are great and AI seems pretty good, too.

Haven’t gotten to formula cars yet, but the tin tops are a lot of fun.

 

Raced a few laps at Guapore in G40. Luv'd. Took a shower right away b/c I knew I didn't right then I'd be one smelly mofo.

OMG, 1.6 is so awesome. I think it will easier to figure how to get faster. Throttle and braking so much more predictable.

 

I haven't had a chance to try out the blue flags yet. Are they much improved, both in terms of how the AI behave towards the player and to each other?

 

I had to manually switch from the notformedia branch, Steam was having a weird error.

 

I'm still hoping we will have the option to assign a button to flash/pulse headlights when racing in IMSA or WEC... That would make the immersion even greater.

 

UI looks great. However I have to say that it seems like it's even harder to navigate with wheel only controls. Seems impossible to get to certain buttons. Not a biggie on flat, but it really sucks in VR.

 

For example, it now seems impossible to enter or exit races without using a mouse to click on the start/exit buttons.
