No, we can't still. That has always annoyed me. I still rely on Joy2Key.

 

Presets are an amazing idea. One of the best features ever for any sim racing title that includes multiple classes.

 

I tried the formula ultimate gen 2 that I remember having already some hints of this new 1.6 update and I must say that I found the car much easier to drive and more forgiving. I had the previous WR at imola with this car before the erase and I smashed it in a couple of laps just getting confident with the new handling and just with the default setup as my previous was erased. And my potential is even lower I can easily break 1.14.xxx now, can't say if now is more realistic but definitely more enjoyable driving to the limit and easier to understand where I am at it

 

I haven't had the chance to try it yet but I'm looking at some reviews online and I still haven't understood if it's worth it because there are conflicting opinions, they introduced it as a revolution creating a lot of expectation and maybe they exaggerated creating disappointment because a different substance was expected. a guy was driving around Imola and the track is still the one from 2022 not updated, another didn't seem very exciting for the FBB and physics, considering the driving easier and the lap times faster by about 1.5 seconds on each track. Can someone explain to me why they added tire wear and damage at a graphic level, if this is the effect that my 6 year old nephew did best? Annoying is an understatement, it seems like Outrun from the 80s. In the rain, the windshield wipers are unrealistic, the rain cleans itself a moment before it passes and it also cleans itself in places that aren't touched by the wipers. From the outside the rain looks like an effect thrown there with an Adobe premier pattern, the same and repetitive without being influenced by wind, lights and gravity. So much hype for the new shaders but to me it still seems not very photorealistic, more similar to a modern cartoon. After all this waiting it is not even complete yet, if this is only the first part, the second will come out in 8 months for sure. It was enough to create less expectation, unfortunately they made a mistake on the communication level as I had already expressed in the past. I don't know if I will download it again, the enthusiasm has dropped drastically, maybe I will wait for the release of pt2. In the meantime with the new year, reensport will be released in the official version and the long-awaited ac evo awaits us from mid-January! Soon instead, on December 10th there will be the new raceroom update with the legendary Super Touring Car, silverstone classic, the new Estoril circuit and a Monza obviously graphically updated to 2024! I prefer a game that brings me something new every month to another that does it only every 9 months, without being the revolution that people expected. And now, dear fanboys, I'm ready for your gentle stones.

 

Anyone else having trouble mapping controls? So far I have trouble with 1.6 and my shifters. Using GT Neo connected via USB and Simhub. The game recognizes the mappings/controls but I often have to go back and remap everything anyway. And then restart the session. A bug?

Also seems like the R8 Evo II doesn’t have TC/ABS controls. Is that right? Or is my system just not working…

Not at home this weekend to enjoy the release from the rig but I brought the steam deck because I expected this to happen, it is downloading the sim now

 

I found that all my assistance was set to off by default. Had to switch to 'authentic'.

@Ilfanterock please wait, drive, make your own experience and then come back. Your post misses the core of this release heavily.

 

You need to drive it yourself and make your own mind up. Looking at youtube videos is not the way to judge a title. Give it a good few hours, make sure your tyres are warm, and if you still don't like it, go play something else you do like.

If you can't be bothered to even download it and try it yourself, and instead base your half baked opinion on youtubers who only play it once a year when there is an update, then there is no need to come on here slating the hard work of the developers using fairly offensive language about your 6 year old being able to do better. Not sure why you would do that, other than to get a deserved slating tbh.

Also, paragraphs are a thing, use them.

 

I see Gamer Muscle is no longer a pilot and is back to being a car expert. Funny considering he's doesn't own a car or a plane but still thinks he knows what best for everyone

 

I took all of my mods out of the Enabled folder and moved them into a separate folder. Got the update and the DLC's and launched the game. I wanted to try just the basic game before trying to reload any of my mods. None of the track mods or car mods were there but almost all of the skin mods I had are on the cars. Classic F1, Formula USA, etc. Before I launched the game I did not run AMS2 CM so I wonder if even though the files are not in the Enabled folder, are they still in AMS2 CM so they loaded into the game?

 

To try it I should reinstall it but like everyone I have to have a valid reason to do it and enthusiasm.

Sorry, mine is not a judgment on the physics of the update that without trying it makes no sense, but more than anything a consideration based on what I have seen online so far and more than anything on the graphics that you do not need to try it personally to see.

I was referring to the tire wear graphics with the comparison to my nephew, I had attached the screenshot, does it seem well done to you?

Are the paragraphs to your liking now?

 

The presets don’t really work (they’re full of bugs) so I think it’s better if they just remove them

 

A valid reason to reinstall it should be that you want to try it for yourself and base your opinion on that, there is a reason those YT'ers are also called influencers, how much you let them influence you is something you can control yourself, don't miss out on good things because of others.

Install it, try it, if you dont like it, uninstall it.

If your thinking Rennsport is worth the wait is also based on said influencers, i would stop watching those people asap.

Strange ..I see the 4 liveries and no red ones at all lol .. I have green with red trim, black, black with red trim, and green with red trim / white hood section .. they all show up on the track as well ..
