There will be some report threads for various fronts going up over the course of next week, in the meantime you may report bugs of any sort in this thread, all the lead devs will be scanning it for low-hanging ones we can hotfix in short order.

Are you in any Beta branch by any chance (like ReleaseCandidate or PreviousBuild)?

If you were on ReleaseCandidate it should now be receiving the latest v1.6.3 build as well.

In steam, right click in AMS2 -> Properties -> Betas -> Check that you have no beta version selected (since 1.6 is already public release)

These are known! Iirc they appeared around the same time as the Lambo files appeared! Highly recommend downloading a car/track mod and taking a peak inside the Vehicles and Tracks folder, there tends to be a few things to speculate about

Hello there thank you for your feedback. There maybe Ui design decision such as this that may seem odd to users from the outside however please understand that they have been taken with careful consideration which include many factors and not every decision will please all users and peripheral types. There are also some limitations on what we can achieve however I will not get into those right now. The main reason you can no longer navigate to Options via your steering wheel dpad is because this is no longer a menu item and is setup as a true button. There are various reasons as to why we have done this..

    1. We do not have the real estate to house an additional Options menu item on top of the various leaderboards as we are already on the limit for tabs and breadcrumbs.

    2. We needed this Options button to be located in a uniform position across the entire in-game Ui which does not always include leaderboards.

    3. This Options button is easier to trigger via a game-pad controller as it is now a single press of the 'BACK' button on your controller and yes we have many users that navigate the Ui via a game-pad controller. There are info footers on each page for controller users to explain how to quickly navigate the page.

    4. Having it set as separate menu item disconnected from the leaderboards tabs and breadcrumbs would require some sort of TAB/Bumper activation to take focus which we are trying to avoid as we would not want it to be part of the primary menu items cycle due to its disconnected location.

That all said we are still monitoring feedback for these types of things and I can not rule out changes in the future.

All I can suggest for now (if possible) is to maybe have a game-pad controller hooked up if you are trying to avoid mouse navigation..

    :)

Hey all - I’m a regular silent reader of the forum (who has very rarely posted in the past). Wanted to post to say thank you and well done to the team at Reiza. This update is fantastic. Hands down the best all-round single player sim out there for me.

I liked 1.5 but the new physics/FFB are a huge upgrade. Really feel what the car is doing, knowing when to push or when you’re approaching the limit. Almost feels like there’s more grip (and understeer at times) but when you go over that limit and pushed it too much, you know it.

New content is great - I’ve not even looked at it all yet.. couldn’t stop myself driving around Sebring!

Graphics/shaders are great too. I nearly crashed earlier whilst admiring a sunset

And as for the on-track action… Attempted 3 races today (2 multiclass Euro Enduro and 1 GT3) and they were all great experiences. The AI battles you (and other AI), I saw them defending and they can pass slow/lapped traffic. Really an all-round enjoyable experience.

I did notice a couple of things today, so will post in case they are of use:
    • like a few others, my Lamborghini SC63 are all red too (in showroom and on track)
    • my GT3 g2 race at Sebring, in practice and qualy there were Lamborghini’s that posted times around high 1:51 for fastest lap (AI difficulty of 101) which based on 2024 Sebring data is better than LMP2. Interestingly during the race their fastest lap times were back around what you’d expect for a GT3. I’ll double check this tomorrow.
    • minor point on the AI, whilst not all the time, at some corners I found they won’t back out when there’s no space (eg turn 1 Monza, turn 1 Sebring). This might in part be caused by myself not leaving enough space but I think I did have racing line. Running on medium aggression here. This led to a few instances where I got shunted off the track. Not sure if others have found this. What setting have others tried for aggression? that said, not meaning this as a complaint as the AI racing today has been great overall for me (and yes, for me the best AI in sim racing).

Anyway - well done and thank you Reiza! Today has been one of the most enjoyable drives I’ve had since I started sim racing. Celebrations well deserved.

As an afterthought… I thought to myself earlier whilst driving: this is so well done that I really wish they had given Reiza the WEC license! :)

Nice to see the back cameras relocated!

ps - the "back" view of MetalMoro P4 is wrong (?):

So far I've had the red SC63 that others are reporting. I haven't seen any blue flags for slower class cars. I did have one game crash back to the Steam page out of the five races I've ran so far.

I do love the manual rolling starts since in v1.5 you were handed control in some difficult places but now it's much better. Although a couple of times I have forgotten I had control of the car and had the gas pedal floored so I had to restart.

If you are running single races across various Championship presets do you have to put your preferences in each time? I don't want to run practice or qualifying just the race but each time I have to go in and turn practice and qualy off. Shouldn't it go by what you chose before similar to other presets?

So far I've driven the LMDh, 2 GT3 cars (Audi and Huracan GT3 Evo 2), V12 F1, and Formula USA Gen1. The LMDh, F1 and CART cars do drive better. The GT3 are still a little slidey but are better than v1.5.

    First impression after two hours:

A certain proportion of AMS2 users will lose their wives....

Another proportion will forget to feed the dog and get bitten...

A significant proportion are currently quitting their jobs.

And the very lucky few who manage to escape all of this will get a copyright lawsuit from Eddie Murphy on Monday for stealing his grin and refusing to give it back for months.

so smoke break over.... Now I'll try the Lambo and Sebring...

Don't be surprised if I return as the Hunchback of Notre Dame or Tarzan's Cheeta...

Is wet AI scalar difficulty setting not available in Championship? I see it in single race setting, but not Championship.

Looks like Nils has had the same issue. Appears to be a case of some players getting green lights during the formation lap

Had a race with the BMW M1 Procar last night and sure if it was just me or if by design but the car had a bit of a tendency to wander or float around a bit, is hard to explain, anyone else tried it and noticed anything? This was at Hockenheim 1972.

hey mate yes I’ve had that experience with the procar, some of the cars are very much like that but then others like the LMP imsa ones are super pokey and feel absolutely amazing.

I just started a custom championship across Europe featuring the P1 Gen2, GT3 Gen1, and GT4 classes—a perfect opportunity to try out the Ligier (LMP3, the benchmark category for IMSA races).

The first race at Monza, in the rain, was absolutely epic and ended with a third-place finish. The visibility when you have cars ahead of you, especially slower ones, is terrifying (in a good way). I can’t even imagine what a real driver must feel in such conditions.

The Ligier is incredibly well-made and a joy to drive, but taking it to the limit is challenging, as it should be.

Observations Compared to the Previous Version:

    1. **Improved Grip in Wet Conditions:**
There's significantly better grip on wet tracks without those killer puddles. The car still slides and gets unsettled, but with proper attention, it’s much more manageable than before.

    2. **Enhanced Track Evolution:**
Track evolution feels much better now, allowing you time to think and strategize without being overly penalized compared to the AI.

    3. **Better BOP Across Classes:**
The balance of performance is noticeably improved, adding more variety to the races. In version 1.5, the Porsche dominated the GT3 Gen1 class, while the Nissan was a complete underperformer. Version 1.6 seems to shuffle the deck much better.

    4. **More Reactive AI:**
The AI feels sharper in lapping situations and during overtaking. I was genuinely thrilled when I out-braked an AI car, only to see it brake even later than me and overtake on the outside into the first chicane.

    Overall Impressions:
The experience has been overwhelmingly positive and leaves you itching to jump straight into the next race.

Going to a clean slate by deting all the car folders (from custom liveries) udating the names mod (custom driver AI Names) and validating the game files through steam immediately fixed the red lambo sc63 issues.

Guess there may be a gremlin hiding in there somewhere.

Sadly you're right, they've destroyed a once great street circuit (there weren't that many to begin with). Macau would be incredible in AMS2, it is by far the greatest street circuit around.
