@Renato Simioni is this still WIP or is it the Presets ?

"For those users who may feel they already have more legacy Stock Car seasons than they might wish, some good news - V1.6 will feature a content manager which will allow them to customize the game to feature only the classes and tracks they are interested in."

    Thanks

Thanks Wolf, i thought you could actually remove or hide content you don't use, i know it doesnt change the game, but for myself there are too many F1 cars, etc, which i would like to hide, so the only ones that would show up, would be the ones i want to see.

Its just my Ocd kicking in. ;)

Agreed way too many F1 cars, would really love to see the MX-5 cup added to this game.

But for me, don't care about any MX-5 cups - could be more F1 cars, but from those existing seasons, adding some models (more accurate), for example F-Classic Gen3, also one (Retro Gen2?) set contains 2 Brabhams (1978, 1980). Should be separated.
But most missing are US\CART tracks like Mid Ohio, Detroit, Portland etc...

Use a preset and everything else will be hidden.

Please do yourself a favor and watch some Mx-5 Cup this year. It is genuinely some of the best racing out there, no matter the track. I'm saying this as someone who prefers strategic racing, and while Mx-5 Cup admittedly has very little of it; its consistent quality is undeniable.

I would even go as far to say that Mx-5 Cup would be one of the best things for AMS 2. The cars are easy to drive (super accessible for new players) and has a relatively large following IRL. That'll fill LFM lobbies like nothing else.

I love F1 cars dont get me wrong, and wouldn't mind seeing more of them in the sim... however I would be talking straight out of my rear if I said I'd drive them more than a MX-5 Cup car.

Isn't the Ginetta G40 Cup virtually identical to a MX-5 for all relevant intents and purposes?

Yes, but it's missing one key ingredient... people don't recognize it. People are more inclined to try something they know because it's familiar, I know for a fact that I never heard of the G40 before driving AMS 2. Frankly until I realized that it was the closest thing to the MX-5 Cup I barely drove the thing. You don't see motorsports fans in Discord servers hyping up Ginetta G40 races like people do for MX-5 Cup races.

I simply think there are a lot of newer hardcore motorsports fans (especially in the US) who would have their interests peaked in MX-5 Cup joining AMS 2. Folks who'd rather have a more accessabile sim than Iracing or a more motorsports focused sim than AC/AC Evo

Lots of the simracing popularity is due to the MX-5 being the starting point in iracing though.
Same reason why everyone hypes the PCup but no one races the Super Trofeo. Same principle but one has a recognizable name the other much less.

I really don't want to get into it because Ive wasted far more time than i want to admit very nearly getting into it, but this is incorrect.

In the hardcore motorsports communities I'm in (not simracing, but people who actively watch all motorsports. NASCAR, F1, WEC, MotoGP, WSB, DTM, etc) MX-5 Cup is something that is very hyped up and is a highlight of the IMSA weekends it's apart of. One of the most hyped up prospects in both IMSA and NASCAR (Connor Zilisch) made his name and got traction through his performances in MX-5 Cup the past few years. He drove for Era Motorsports who came first in class in LMP2 at the 12 Hours of Sebring and Daytona 24 Hours this past year, as well as becoming a Red Bull athlete.

It's similar, not identical. The biggest missing piece is ABS, Ginetta G40 Cup doesn't have ABS, which makes it a little harder to drive at the limit. Then there is the adjustable diff in the G40 which missing in the MX-5 Cup. It's one more tuning attribute that most people probably don't want to mess with. The MX-5 Cup is thus easier to tune and easier to drive at the limit, which leads to some really good close racing. Close racing is fun racing.

I think you are right--there is no RWD, lower-powered, ABS-equipped, no-setup car in the game. It is the entry point for tin tops.

But in the meantime in the hardcore spirit of AMS 2, we need to learn to drive without ABS. The diff can be ignored :)

And as far as i have understood, there will be the possiblity in the not so far future to make your personal presets that will let vanish everyting you don't wanna see....

As someone who tends to keep the experience as close to real as possible with my hardware: the G40 Cup is an H-shifter car instead of sequential, the latter of which I translate to paddles since I only have an H-shifter, no sequential sticks. That's another pretty big difference, with the H-shifter on the harder side. (Obviously won't matter if you always drive with paddles though.)

The MX-5 is a sequential now?
