You can already run a bunch of these tracks in Assetto Corsa backwards. They are great. This is sim racing. And more importantly, for fun. It doesn't always have to be some "that's not allowed", real life only or else scenario. Showing a video on why real life races aren't run backwards on tracks shouldn't even apply here.
Try them yourself. I'm sure most everyone here has AC. I'm all for utilizing the resources already available and adding more variety.

Do we know if REIZA is planning to implement any upscaling technology like DLSS or FSR? I'm considering getting an RTX 5080 and wondering if it's worth it for AMS2. I've read somewhere that Reiza is working on a new rendering pipeline for AMS2, and I hope this will bring improvements in image quality, aliasing, shadows, and remove color dithering. While I'd love to see ray tracing and global illumination, it could be too much for the Madness Engine to handle these rendering techniques.

The following is the only thing Reiza has mentioned about this:
    (source: September 2024 Development Update)

    Anything else is pure speculation.

All the road car reveals have pretty much killed my interest for ACE.

Yeah, it's very underwhelming so far. I'll drive the 911 GT3 Cup and the 488 Challenge EVO, but nothing is really appealing to me for now. Why are there so many road cars? I hope the second batch of cars will include more proper race cars.

The only thing i want to know about Ac evo is, when the game will be moddable, there will be a new content manager for this game, and can we skip the ingame economy, and create custom championship with the cars i want ?

How are folks finding the Audi R8 GT4 to drive?

I think it feels very credible but perhaps a bit peaky.
Didnt drive the other gt4's since 1.6 though, so cant really compare

Similar to all "Audi" brand modern GTs, a bit weird. They all have this very twitchy rear on braking, they don't inspire confidence in heavy braking zone. Their suspension overall also feels off (which I kind of dicussed in my damper thread), very hard to get a stable aero platform, they all tend to move a lot in high speed corners (which is more ok for the ST and the GT4, but still). And finally overall they still all have way too much power, you cant put max wing on them and laugh at other on straights running mid to low wings. R8 or Huracan all the same.

It’s definitely not my favourite car ( especially as the Camaro exits ) and I generally don’t suit mid engined cars with my driving style.
But I struggle to get the weight over the front axle , maybe it’s better on high fuel … with something to counter the big engine at the back .
But I can feel the front get light under power .
It kinda sits high , but I guess it’s road car based.
I’ve driven a few R8s in real life , but not at these speeds and they felt well balanced, but Quattro helps .

With reverse layouts they would become run ON areas instead :D. And even if it is unrealistic from a driver safety standpoint it is still cool to see something like RedBull Ring in reverse.

Running on a 4090 with everything ultra or maxed out. No need for fancy technologies IMHO. Already well over the top as is on all ultra apart from the jagged shadows

Yes, if the lack of AA on shadows was addressed (or the shadow resolution increased) as part of "Ultra" I can't imagine needing anything more for daylight racing. It's incredibly smooth and sharp already if you have modern hardware.

There may be a few more issues at night, but not sure they would be addressed with generic technology, either. The game engine has some "features" that need to be sorted out the old fashioned way and there are no magic fixes.

With all those sweet sweet new liveries getting annouced for 2025 IMSA i kind of wonder if Reiza will do like they do for Stock car, updating the liveries for each season, with the presets thing it would be possible without getting too cluttered I guess.

    Ettore and Marc.

I'm also running a 4090 and I can tell you that in VR there are performance issues at sunset and rain. Put both of those together and there is a significant drop. So one cant say that 4090 is completely sufficient for AMS2.

I will upgrade to 5090, but how many people can afford a 4090/5090? 0.5% of all gamers?

I agree, i can tank my 4090 very easily in AMS2 doing the right race setup
